I would hope the karma bus would hit the club who poaches him away. They'll be recruiting a bloke who is unstable off the field and doesn't have the tank on it. Decision making is a massive issue. After all the things the RFC has done for this bloke and offering to pay him way beyond what he deserves, it shows the values martin has in simply chasing the dollars and ignoring his earning potential later in life assuming he tears the comp apart. Hope he enjoys playing in front of 500 seagulls at GWS.

All I was suggesting is that there will be 100 pages of this thread abusing him, calling him greedy and worse. Then if he finds that Richmond's is the best offer and he signs ... there will be 100 pages of backpeddling to do. He hasn't left yet. Someone has to offer him his $600k, and he then somehow has to find a way to that club. Maybe just bite the tongue a little until he actually cleans out his locker?

I don't follow the draft/trade process that closely, so what's the likelyhood of this kinda scenario happening, opposed to being completely shafted and end up with nothing?

If we got Adams, kept Conca and a high pick, I'd show Dusty the door myself. Great talent but there's only so much you can do for kids like him; we're trying to build a culture here.

We payed overs for their leadership. You build a club around these sort of player. Dusty is the opposite.

Right now though, I don't care. I refused to believe anything until it was announced by the club in some shape or form, but deep down like most people I knew exactly what was going to happen.

Hope he enjoys his career at Broady in a couple of years.

Dusty has trouble running out games, he never works for the four quarters.Exciting in patches but that's all ...much rather Conca Ellis Morris these type of players.If he wanted to stay he would have signed ages ago.This is a young guy that lives on the edge could not even pay his own bills.For his sake I hope he can see that the club has tried to help and guide him.I wish him well at his new club,,,Will be quite a roar when he plays against us IF he goes.

You guys may want to bite your tongues a little.

If he explores his options, and no one offers him what he wants, or no trade gets done - he could be signing that $500k offer that you have already made him. You may yet regret the anger and the abuse when you have to welcome him back.

His only real options now are

1. A trade - which would have to suit Richmond too
2. PSD - which would be GWS? Melbourne have cultural problems of their own and Roos won't tough him, St Kilda have told their players not to associate with him so they are probably not interested. Perhaps he is trying to get through to the Eagles at pick 6 in the PSD?
