I think you've been whacked a bit about the rant so I'll ask you to outline cases where secret deals have been offered by Eddie.
As for your academies, Hawthorn admin and Clarkson have spoken out about them as well. Clarko asked why the avid clubs can't have them as well?

Eddie isn't my favourite person in the AFL media by a long shot. He has said some real douchey things and obviously would love the league to be changed to the VFL again.

But come on, he is a businessman and a successful one. He knows how to play the real game as this sport is essentially....a business! Running a club is now just running a business. He gets shit done and knows how to do it so well, and if he bends the rules a bit...welcome to the exciting real world of business. He is hated, but dammit if he was your club's President you wouldn't complain a bit.
