What do you mean off field needs addressing at Hillside....hearing some great things about their leaders and financially best they have been in a while.
Would be interested in your thoughts?

They may have the their off field leadership sorted now. However you would have to agree they should be further advanced on field. The EDFL would be a much stronger competition if Hillside & Craigieburn were both in Premier.
However you are only as strong on the field as you are off the field.

In all seriousness Keilor Football Ground should be used instead of Grennvales ground. In my opinion Keilor Football Ground is perfect for a final. The other complex I thought of would be Essendons training ground but not a lot of shelter or car parking I guess.

My other question is why are certain clubs allocated finals? Is it possible to allow clubs to run beer tents, bbq etc as a form of raising revenue or do Keilor & Greenvale just reap the financial rewards?

But I like that majority of finals are at Windy Hill.

Burnside Heights would have made a fortune on Sunday. 8 matches across the day. The queue for the canteen was never shorter than 10 people at any time and out to 20-30 people at stages.

They can control the crowd that enters into those grounds and it isn't easy to watch games from the fence lines. And yes the big clubs reap the rewards of the crowds at their canteens and alcohol sales.

With 3 rounds left, what are your thoughts on the Coaching merry-go-round?
If Lakes miss out - is that the end of Tankard?
If Hillside miss out - is that the end of Burns?
Does Bugden stay on at Craigieburn?
What happens with Hooper?
What happens with Arrowsmith? A lot of money spent for no return
DC safe at Tulla, Maddern safe at APW, Smith safe at Westy,
Fletcher already gone,
It seems that I may have hit a nerve here....where are all of the peeps that have opinions on here gone....
What is happening at Hillside Turbo?
Route59, Outbackhack, Horse Whisperer, Riddler, Aukmel, Newatthis....you all seem to have opinions but have gone quiet?

TL have done much better than I thought they would, so keep the coach. EK disappointing, but worth keeping with a young coach and they seem better without Grigg. If you believed the stories, then this was always Pete's last year. Maybe he'll get back together with his mate somewhere else back in the NFL. Who can Whitnall bring to the club is the big question.

Geoff's absolutely safe and I think AW will be much better with another year in div 1 anyway. I don't know the Hillside coach, but with those youngsters, like AW, I think another year in div 1 won't hurt. No idea who the Westy coach or Oak Park is, but they seem to have a fair bit of youth coming through.

The upside for whoever gets promoted to Premier is, Glenroy will be there, the downside is, there could be a whole lot of losses too.

Previous contact at APW confirms as I have said before that APW would not be worried if they stayed in Div 1 another year. Gives some players another year at the club and makes them 1 point players. Very handy then going into Premier Div in 2020. Allows the club to bring in some 4, 5 point players.

I am also hearing rumours that EDFL are bringing in other clubs to the league and making Div 1 having no bye. Because of that, Jacana may request to stay in Div 1 rather than go back to Div 2.

Having a look at the Jacana side, I would think they are paying around $70k under the cap. What they need is more sponsors so they can bring in some better players.

I missed you post. You have some interesting thoughts and others have responded. Not sure about Burns, it all depends on what their run home looks like. Some clubs may realise they are paying over for cattle that the shouldn't have. If so, Arrowsmith may be safe.

No chance that the EDFL will change / alter the promotion relegation model. The desired model of 3 divisions of 10 is not far away.

why woundt you coach Jacana Riddeller ? they won the flag the year before have lost all there midfield players to injury ( both Mick & Rhyce Evans ,young, raccavalous ,shualtz and both Mall brothers have been out most of the year and they the best ruckman in the comp , would only need a couple recruits and could have fairly decent side !

Plenty of coaches putting their hand up for Jacana gig.

If they are going to have a decent budget to work with could easily drop down to C-Grade and win it next year.

This year they wasted all their money on 4-5 players and talked themselves up about going back to back, which was never going to happen. Instead they are 0-13. Whoever was in charge of allowing the recruiting to happen this year should be moved on.

This weeks games all pretty standard, except EK vs Hillside.
Craigieburn - 50 pnts
APW - 36 pnts
Tulla - 90 pnts
Hillside - 20 pnts

With all due respect mate all of those players could of played the whole season and Jacana would still be sitting on the bottom. A fit Young aside, none of those players would set the world on fire in this division. They are a mile off being a good side in division 1, not a ‘couple’ of recruits.

No wonder Fletcher is moving on from the Jags
Even they won’t accept a coach having a physical altercation with a player that has only played two games and is 17!!!
An absolute disgrace.....
He should never coach again
