Of all the players that have played this year, Deer Park points add up to 92 Points, would love to see how they keep everyone happy and the consistency in the team, (revolving door in selections)...just doesn't look like (from the outside) that this can work, there is NO team cohesion.
But like everyone keeps saying, it will all come together in finals.
Some more analysis:
For players that have played more than 6 games this year the team points adds up to 44, this doesn't include Greenwood (6), Dennison (5), Brown (4), Grogan (3), Holmes (6), Cannolo (3), Tompkins (3) and Dorgan (4).
*Who makes way for these players? Can't drop a 1 pointer!

My view is if you cannot field a reserves side then seniors should not play either. This may encourage senior players to get active on recruiting reserves players.

Deer Park often allows players to play vfl and or return from vfl duties. Brown is coming back from injury and Deer Park is giving him an opportunity to do so when he is a northern Bullants player. In regard to cohesion the core group has pretty well remained unchanged all year. Keep in mind the captain is yet to return and is the most important player in the team.

You need to consider they have one eye on premier division.
These players all drop a point next year, confident there was never the intension to fit all into the team each week this year.
Will put them in good position when they get promoted, whether that is this, next or the year after...
They obviously have a reserves team. They have played all year. Maybe they have significant amount of injuries accross the board

You play with injury if you play for the jumper and the love of the club. Even if it means you hobble around in the forward pocket or stand like a statue. Once a club starts forfeiting history shows the club eventually folds. I certainly hope this is not going to happen to westmeadows.

Untrue that westy have pulled the reserves, westy are fielding a Reserve team a few u/18 players are coming up to fill the void due to injuries.

What do you mean by 5 to drop a point? as in the player points for the finals or for the following year?

You have to play 4 games to qualify for finals. You have to play 5 games to qualify for a 1 point reduction to your personal player points total for the following season (see posts above re Ben Silvagni)

Possible or could it be players finally having had enough with how poorly the club is being run not being paid and walking out ? causing the lack of numbers and not injuries

Westy had a very strong reserves team last week. They lost to Tulla by just three points. Tulla reserves are doing very well and the team that took the field last week for Tulla 2's was probably the strongest we've had on the park all year so Westy did extremely well to hold their own.
Tulla 2's also beat Deer Park 2's earlier in the season so there's no reason why Westy shouldn't be able to do well against DP.

Very true the fwd ogrady who got injured a few weeks ago played and killed it and the boy stingel also played back from overseas both big last week I see both back in 1sts this week will help

Umm 18s forfeited this morning and rumour is still circulating that reserves forfeited as well.
If true that’s disturbing for Westy. No reserves, 18s or 16s spells big trouble.

yep no u18's game and no reserves playing today, a lot of unhappy players apparently the coaches are still getting paid but not players, god help them in 2024
