There is no good time to drop back a division.
Yes there is. That is extremely short sighted. Playing Premier is not the be all and end all for a football club. After 10+ years of finishing in the bottom 4 of Premier i can bet it’s a relief to many at the club to drop back a level for a while. Losing majority of your games year after year after year is not enjoyable for any club.

Marby are doing fine, at least div 1 is a bit more competitive. Premier is boring and for the foreseeable future no one will get past the likes of Keilor, strathmore ect
If Avondale retained their current list and added a bit more depth they would automatically be in the conversation for Div.1. Got some players that a clear class above

Mores owned territory most of the day but couldn’t capitalise often enough and Keilor kicked multiple goals going coast to coast. Was a great, tough contest in very tough conditions. Keilor defence saved them, Mores defence outside Cav were beaten too easily. Some class players that didn’t fumble too much
what is ' territory?

EK in deep trouble
Pat leaves at years end.
Loose probably 10 senior players.
Will struggle to field 2 teams next year when they start to get belted each week.
In 3 years AH will be in a better position than EK by country mile.

DP building well and will challenge for finals next year.

Spoke with Pat yesterday at game will achieve his dreams of coaching the big V next year, only a short drive down millera Rd
There's been interest from St Augustines primary school for Pat to coach their boys netball team. Currently between him and Ronald McDonald for the job.

Will Pat make it to the end of the season? Some extremely big loses coming up in the last rounds. I believe internally there's trouble brewing for the only coach in the league that has to pay the club to let him stand on the bench and pretend.

Mate , no-one gives a heck about Premier other than the Premier clubs participating, and most of them are dis-illusioned as they know they can't compete with the Big 3(plus Pacco). Just like no-one in Premier gives a heck about Div 1 , but the difference being in Div 1 most clubs are a chance to be competitive every week which just doesn't happen in Premier

I don’t understand why a club would want to be a good club in an average grade of footy. Wouldn’t you just try and be as good as you can? Marby don’t want to be in Div 1. They’re a proud club that has won Premier flags and can do so again. Had reasonably strong juniors at one stage. If it’s mediocrity you want then by all means win a few games in poorer divisions.

can you just answer then ?? how hard is it ??? 🤷🏻‍♂️ you obviously know the area and league so much more !
From the clues in original post. Turn right from EK onto Milleria road. Keep going on the way to Highpoint. Oval on left hand side around the bend before the bridge over the river- 37°46'08.0"S 144°52'15.3"E
