100% accurate - Final 5 has been on the EDFL agenda for at least 5 years - only just recent ie last 2 years were the clubs canvassed again - my understanding is the clubs want it yet the EDFL Board in their wisdom feel time is not right.
I am sure for the money invested every year by all clubs a final 5 should be a must for 2019.
I agree, and from what i hear it will be in place next season. If divy 1 extends to 10 teams would be good to see a final 5 there too. Nothing wrong with an extra week of finals footy.

Was extremely traumatic for the young kids parents who were watching it unfold on the sideline and i am sure number 15’s wife and child would have been horrified with what he did too.
Would be very surprised to see number 15 the thug wearing a Strathmore guernsey ever again.
Charlie, any update onEDFL followup to the incident last Sat?

The question is, after all the debate about it, how was it missed during the game?

No suspension on the EDFL tribunal page.

No debate about what happened. The germ thug headbutted an 19 year old behind play. The young kid ended up with 10 stitches in his face and will be needing plastic surgery also. Was seen by two dozen people and in view of umpires but for some ridiculous reason no report made.
League is currently investigating which will most likely lead to a suspension. Police are involved also as far as I’m aware.

Only 2 games have selected teams on EDFL website, thought they had to be posted 1200 Friday.

The relegation battle is now a 2 horse race. Eds form past 5 weeks been very good. They might need to win another - r17 ah v wc might determine who goes down.

The police should be involved, the scum bag needs to pay for what he did

Interesting that EDS could be the club that shapes the finals. Abers in two weeks, Pacco, Greenvale and Strathmore may be looking over their shoulders. EDS could win two of those, it could be interesting.

I wonder how much influence Laguda and Wallis jnr are having on the playing group.
I think Wallis would be having more influence just because Laguda is returning from a knee reconstruction. In saying that, Laguda playing down a wing would give them good run out of defence. Not sure where he has been playing.

Hello,
I'm after some advice, hopefully you can help. I work for the indigenous youth centre at mooney valley and we have some very talented youngsters from Darwin moving to the Essendon area. They are very talented football players (aged between 15-17). Our organisation funds any cost and also offers club sponsorships. Can anyone advise on which clubs are in that area and have a good team culture?

cheers

Sal

There are a number of clubs close to that area. Essendon Doutta Stars, Aberfeldie and Strathmore for example. It depends on what part of Essendon. Would only suggest you or they go and speak to the clubs directly and view their culture. The juniors are just about to start their finals. Most People on here are someway or another connected to a club so they will just recommend their own club.

What school are they going to be attending?

What school are they going to be attending?
Where they are living, is more important. Not so far to go to and from training. They will have time to get from school to home. Being close to where you train gives extra time for homework and food before training.

Of course you would say that. They went because you paid out the big dollars, nothing more.

Just because I recommended Abers doesn’t mean I’m associate there, just answering the ?
Which was, oh that’s right in Essendon good culture indigenous history
Why do you people continue to knock success and don’t tell me it’s only because they buy it.
