Abers were outcoached by Douttas.
A few out for Abers but still had a better team on paper on the park.
There seems to be a 'no manning an opponent' policy with the Abers midfield.
Douttas would go coast to coast with numbers around the ball without Abers touching it.
I thought the double blues were a top 2 or 3 side but after watching on the weekend they will have to rely on others continually losing. (Marby, Oak Park - 5th,6th).
Not very convincing.

I noticed this myself a few weeks ago. A lot (not all) of players also wanting to get on the end of other players hard work and not willing to do it themselves. When everything clicks they're as good a side as anyone else in the comp but there must be some concerning signs for the Abers faithful.

Abers won't make the finals again. Lot's of money spent over the past 2 seasons for NO REWARD. Not having a crack at Abers at all as at least they had a go, but just not up to it.

Looking from outside in , lots seem to want to bag Abers.Is there history to this. Not the most successful club? Usually the perenial winners cop the flack? Or just some personnal crap.
Abers miss Cravo and x down back. Mids dont run defence at all much. Too slow on big ground. Quite obvious some dont train much or intense enough as not fit and basic skills poor. So I've done pretty good bag job too!
Get act together and will win flag.
 
So prophetic what's the spin this week? right decision for club moving forward? So when did he get sacked?
At least Pev and Mal are available this weekend after taking last sat off to play in a legends game!!

The Aber football club are a joke and have been for years, just because they spent huge dollars which resulted in winning a few games over the past season and a half doesn't change that. In fact it just shows why that place is a joke. They have a huge opinion of themselves which is not warranted, that's the biggest problem with that place. There are a lot of good people at Abers like at any club, but stop drinking your own bath water and open your eyes, stop looking at the coach to blame, maybe, just maybe the players on huge $$$'s might have something to do with it?........

Heard on grapevine Abers have put their hands up for Daniel Connors @ $2800 per game!!! This suggests they are not happy with current player performance and need to do something to get the egg off their face given they are spending $350Kplus and may not make finals.

Not sure if true, is good mates with the Hislops but the last thing they need is another star mentality, if anything they'd be better suited finding some grunt/effort players.

Went down to Abers today to see if there would be any improvement from the previous weeks.
I enjoyed watching the ball coming out of defence on the 'fat' side on numerous occasions. Seems like a new game plan is being implemented.
Still a few of the same culprits butchering the ball with bad disposal. Both teams missed easy chances to score but in all a vast improvement. Will be interesting to see how they fare playing against a stronger opponent (Oak Park) next week.

Lets not let the fact that clearances have closed and it would be impossible to sign Connors get in the way of another opportunity to sink the boots into Abers. The obsession on this board is bizarre.

Well it all begins in your own backyard. Talk yourself up year after year, we are doing this, we are doing that, you build yourselfs up to continually fail. Its all about the vibe and it obviously isnt good and never has been. Maybe you should take an APO (apprehended poster order) out against us but without Abers this board would be very quiet!!! By the way where did J Mac watch the game from Sat?

Mud slinging is easy about any club isnt it? I mean I could say that i think douttas are a rabble with a crap blokey culture, crap clubrooms, crap juniors blah blah blah but nobody would agree :D

Abers, Marby, Greenvale, Strathmore and Craigieburn all cop a whack on here from time to time. There's no real harm in it so long as people don't do too far with what is being said. For what it's worth though I don't see Abers people as talking themselves up anymore than Douttas, for example.

So true and thats why we love Big Footy......I see you being a newbie you have alot to learn or perhaps you have had to change your profile due to an APO order? Or are you the son of member Abers?
