Greenvale had 20 1 point players yesterday. Fort(3) and Nat(2) being the only other 2 players. Obviously had Deluca(2) Chapman(6) and Dempsey (6) out but to make a grand final and still have room to recruit 2 more 6 point players on top of the 2 they had out is a great effort, obviously wouldn't be easy to fit 2 more ex afl players into the salary cap though. Just found it interesting compared to marbys 46 points.
Are Deluca, Dempsey and Chapman a chance to play next next week?
Great effort with 20 one point players.
The challenge for Greenvale now is trying to sustain that with no Under 19s and most of their other juniors in Div 2
How long will it be before we see a new team fighting for a flag? Over the last 10 years Abers, Greenvale Strathmore, Keilor and throw in Marby(when $$$ man was there) are the only one's in with a chance. Yes, Pacco and Avo have made the 4 in that time but didn't really give a yelp... Becoming bit of a yawn fest the ol' EDFL , not as bad as our mates in the WRFL but still no good

Chapman hasn't had enough tough contests to test his body. As tough and hard as he is.....Why would you risk it coming in under done.
Dempsey still looks injured, Maric Hamstring can't see how he will play. Deluca who knows, But, without those players....It will be very tough for the Jets against a healthy Abers list

Without those players I am sorry to say but it will be Abers by at least 6 goals.
Grand Finals are not a normal game and can throw up any result on the day. All the weight of expectation goes on Aberfeldie now and Greenvale will go in with a nothing to lose mentality. Adamm Maric is massive and I would say he was the major reason Greenvale pushed Abers in the 2nd Semi but they have a reasonable replacement in Fort Caruso that can easily produce a BOG performance. Wouldn't have a clue how Chappys body or mind is for such a big game but a bloke that played 250+ games of AFL, all Australian and a norm smith medal wouldn't be a bad player to have inside 50. Nat Caruso not having to ruck could be more effective, Brewer has plenty more to give from last time as has Uysal. I think it will be a really tight, hard fought contest that will go down to the wire. If Abers play to their best their back 6 will be the difference and will hold off Greenvale but this is by no means a one sided contest. It's just a shame we won't see the comps best player on the last day.

Doutta haven't won one for how long and I can't see them winning another one till they get a ruck, CHB and CHF as well as some bigger bodies.

If what was heard on the weekend is true then Maric wont be winning the league medal. Didn't even score an invite!
I cant see how Greenvale can turn the tables on Abers without Deluca, Dempsey & Maric. Sanajko will provide a contest in the Ruck but he was being completely outplayed by Prowse until he was injured in the prelim.
Had to feel for Marby on Saturday. Whilst the result looked like it wouldn't change they were determined to have a crack and they had wrestled back momentum after being as much 50 odd points down. Greenvale had thrown 2 loose in defence late in the 3rd so they were obviously concerned at the midfield dominance Marby had gained going into the last quarter.

If he didn't get an invite then something is clearly wrong. Has had 10-11 bog's in a side that only lost 2 games for the season. Clearly the best in the comp and 60+ goals as well. To not get an invite would imply that he was not even close. Absolute crap if true.

we can not wait for this weekend with our two teams in against the arch enemy Aber it will be a big day at Windy Hill
Our skipper Adam Maric is all good hammy not as bad as first thought and will play, Deluca back yes for week of helped him but Dempsey not like to play

You can clearly see on the highlights package on the EDFL Facebook page that Maric does a hammy. Poor kid too. Was dominate again for 2 and 1/2 quarters.
I reallly hope this is true and we see the 2 best teams with all their stars playing including Chappy.
