WOW.......EDFL Raises Under 19 Age Group to Under 19.5 for 2017

Now how does this impact the Reserves at some clubs?
Gives a few clubs a chance to field where they were going to be 1 team down. All the talk has been around Greenvale, Craigieburn and Avondale struggling for numbers in that age group, this should help. It means they may need to work a little harder to keep a few of the older boys around, that's all.

Looks to be big impact on abers/kelior with a lot of elite talent moving on to seniors
Kelior ( curmi, bonello , anotvski)
Abers( stone , rasinac , hickmomt)
With much of preseason over though will top age 19s want to play 19s after training with seniors.Numbers being a big issue at abers especially after departure of key premiership players in neicho MacDonald davey barba Robinson????

Define key players? Because Neicho and Davey were on the verge of being dropped, but stayed in due to injuries. I'm pretty sure MacDonald isn't supposed to play footy again. If Rasinac, Stone, Hickmott and Dench went back down, Abers would win a 6th straight. I hope they play seniors because it is time to step up. Abers now have 24 in their 19s without those extra boys.

Potter taking side to finals in recent years would have to mean soemthing in terms of an extended contract ??
Damian Cupido would've coached that team to finals in recent years mate. The way Mick dominated Potter in the last 3 games Keilor played Abers was an embarrassment to the Gorilla's. Mick's plans and the way he motivated his players to get the best out of themselves and play their role against Abers who looked completely lost as soon as they were challenged both physically and on the scoreboard, clearly shows that Potter is just a board man and had no influence.. I hope they appoint him for the next 10 years!

Davey was the leading goalscorer last year so don't think he would have been dropped. Neicho wasn't up to it definitely not a key player. As for Rasinac, recovering from an ACL will he play footy this year?

Can someone from Aberfeldie shed some light on the player departures ?
Have they actually lost those 19's ?
They'd be strong enough to cover any losses you would think.

Davey second leading goal scorer last year surely a key player ??? Be a great achievement to see abers win 6 in a row but with Douttas marby acquisitions not to mention kelior would still be hard to come by. Who is the new coach anyway ? Be hard to follow to gourley

Micks performance in last years finals campaign along with rep game against Goulburn would have to show he's a class above the rest. Heard toy could be stepping up in a coaching possion for abers

Davey was very close to being dropped and I would know that as I had a discussion with Gourley about it in finals last year. He wasn't performing against the better sides. He dominated the lesser sides. Neicho was out of the side but then Stefan did his ACL and he got back in.

Chris Daley is coaching the 19s this year.

He kicked 2 goals in 3 matches against Keilor. And that's why he was on the verge of being dropped. He kicked 0 in the gf. Not Debating his 52 for the year, but his form against the better sides late. You would hope your full forward could kick over 50 for the year in a team that had an elite group of players.

I don't know if raising the age will make any difference to those clubs that were struggling to field a 19's side. Those clubs have already lost some of their best players anyway to other teams.

How will the new coaches go against Mick? Grima, Chapman, etc?.....Both big names on paper!

Let's be honest here , Jets and Mores didn't get these blokes for their coaching expertise. They were appointed because of their ability to attract players and for their playing skills, they are just hoping their coaching ability is not terrible...

Nope.....Do you know how the boys went? Apparently Cragieburn played Jacana last night and Cragieburn got smashed!
Not sure on your source but CB won by a couple of goals in only a 2 quarter match. Around 7-8 regular senior players missing but yes they did not look great, very scrappy game to watch. Was there first hit out. Jacana were quite good and generally were first to the ball.

So, Which Clubs have a Practice match this weekend?

Bissa, Info must be incorrect then if you were there.....Hopefully they are competitive so as we don't have other teams playing for percentages.
