I really shouldn't need to say who. He's seriously worth a pick in the 40s.

What pick value he is worth is irrelevant if you're drafting for needs opposed to best available. Might not have shown as much as some but he's got the potential to be the best pure small forward from the draft.

Pretty funny that they were treating the visit to Essendon as a try out for the guy. When it so obviously looked like the club invited him down a bit of PR fluff. Surely the manager knew what was going on beforehand.

Relevant part begins around the 7 min mark.

You mean schlubs like you and me? Which expert selected Leroy Jetta , Gumbelton and Kav as early draft picks?

I will cut you twice.

Once for misspelling it, and once for saying it.

As far as the first two goes, the one that isn't currently making the decisions would be the answer to that question

Why, when we could get a couple of half reasonable midfielders in the second round instead? Rioli's numbers have been shit, and if he wasn't a Rioli he would be every chance to go undrafted.

Not interested in the blood line or junior numbers, rather his transferable skills and foresee his ability to be effective in a forward role.

Also I liked his influence in the grand final game and the champs game against Tas was also impressive.

Certainly not saying he's a gurantee, but he fills a need and unless a slider emerges I would be more than happy to take a risk on him than select a vanilla midfielder with better numbers.

Whilst not mentioning Carlisle by name, he 'spat' (for lack of a better word), that a player that had 'quit the club', didn't show for either of these requirements; and the inference was very clear that it WAS Carlisle. Worth noting that Carlisle WAS still under contract at this time, and was obligated to complete these requirements.
One of the journos - might have been Tom Browne - explicitly named Carlisle as the guy who didn't bother to notify us about his whereabouts when the whole drug video was leaked.

Happy to see the back of Jake after all these recent developments. Hopefully Francis at pick 4 or 5, Essendon supporter who could be a 10 year gun for our club, and will hopefully show more maturity and loyalty than Carlisle has.

That hair pisses me off.

ideal third tall defender- just watch his highlights
would be shattered if the Dees picked him up

He looks like Hurley when he marks. You would think he would definitely play AFL in year 1. Only issue is that a Melbourne guy at work told me that he hopes Dees don't select him because he reminds him too much of Jack Watts when he was drafted. He showed me a video of Watts and you know what, he does look similar. What is Francis work rate and attitude like

I'm hoping more for a strong bodied 190cm mid. One who can play like Goddard in 2010 drawn GF. Put that together with the speed, size and bull type behaviour of Laverde yet still having a sulky side step, Heppell, the silk that Langford will bring to the side, Colyer, Zerrett, Couglan and senior statesmen in Myers and Hocking. We have a midfield I'm excited about.

Unlike Watts, Francis actually has a desire to win matches which shows in his game day actions.

Francis is WAY more competitive. Personally don't see the Watts comparison at all. Fear not.
