:tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: Have you seen how many people turn up to these "protests" on a regular basis? A handful of cookers telling us that allowing kids to have a drag queen read them a bed time story is hardly shaking the foundations of democracy.

Anecdotal evidence FTW! Have you heard about algorithms on social media? Amazing what information they feed you, if you're looking for it.
There's plenty of left wing protests for things like climate change and Palestine - I'd suggest likely more than the number of cooker protests.

Tesla is a public company, if they need to make cuts to save on costs and maintain profitability then it should be done in the interests of shareholders.
just stuff workers hey

because thats where the cuts come from

not the fat paychecks of the people at the top

Does it matter though? We don't have the right to free speech on social media platforms.
So the Australian Government trying to remove a violent video that could inflame tensions and lead to more violence = bad?

But Elon's Twitter banning journalists, outing protesters to authoritarian regimes and censoring articles for those regimes = ok?

How will it lead to more violence? The video is less graphic than most M rated movies, plus real gore - graphic ISIS and cartel movies are easily accessible online already.

We've discussed this ad nauseum on this thread.

The difference being that one is our government and the other is not. I don't give a shit how social media platforms are run. I care about the Australian government trying to enforce ridiculous censorship on international companies.

Elon haters can't see the forest for the trees.

How are you linking that to videos of the event? What has happened since even though the video has been online for weeks?
It's how it's used.

The video was identified as a tool being used by religious and ideological extremists to recruit and radicalise at the time.
It's probably not an issue having the full clip up now, as some time has passed.
But court process takes time.

It's not about the gore, PG rating etc. It's about how it's used, and who it targets.

The same way that footage of some Indigenous youth crime can spur on a vigilante group, regardless of how old the footage is.

So because it hasn't happened that means it won't?
I didn't say that; the burden of proof isn't on me.

That's the rhetoric, but whether it stands up to scrutiny is another question entirely.

Are ISIS videos leading to more terrorist attacks? If so, why are they widely available on gore sites. Why did our government back down so quickly against Elon if the video is as dangerous as you suggest?

I'd rather err on being too lenient on censorship than too stringent. People can censor themselves and avoid the video if they don't like it.

There is a difference between the news event and a propaganda video. You seem to be advocating a censoring of news events. If I read the last bit right, you'd be saying don't report on QLD youth crime as it is led to several vigilante groups being established.

I cannot believe people are happy with the government censoring videos online. What a slippery slope.

Cant believe the amount of right wing content being pushed on my feed has overwhelmingly gotten worse in the last year, particularly the last few months . The amount of right political garbage from the worst human beings seems unrelenting .Thanks Elon
