i saw it but i just presume they've changed the handball rules or something
True, they have.

“The Premier League has advised players that not every touch of a hand or arm on the ball is an offence and that they are not expected to move with their arms into an unnatural position behind their backs to try to avoid such contact.

It will not be handball if the player concerned is deemed to be in a justifiable position or making a justifiable action; if there is a clear change of trajectory when the ball is touched by, or deflects off, the same player; or if the ball hits the supporting arm when a player falls to the ground.”

Deflected from Saka’s back before the swinging arm?

Shocked you boys were not so quick to call out the deflection of a goal bound shot from Dunk’s arm? Guess you missed that bit.
Hey, that’s what happens when you’re playing at the top, you get to expect opponents handballing and getting away with it, costing you penalties, points and wins?

Right?

Arm was straight down, never a pen.

Where was the yellow card for the Brighton player who booted the ball away in the first half?

Would be nice if they were consistent about it.

Yep, that’s the infuriating part. Can’t remember who but there was a Brighton player that booted the ball away long after the whistle early in the 1st half… no yellow card.

Rice nicks the ball away and then gets a boot in the shin for good measure… yellow card. Veltman wasn’t trying to kick the ball, he booted Rice to make a point to the referee and it worked.

Make it make sense.
