A disappointing collapse considering how great we were doing up until the last month or so.

It just goes to show competing with this City team over 38 games is a very hard thing to do. Only Liverpool have done it and they still lost.

City have now won I think 15 or 16 straight league games, no matter how good you are, that is bloody tough to keep up with.

You need a really deep squad to go toe to toe with them. Something you'll address in the summer.

Yup. Youngest squad and manager in the league too. We've done well to get as far as we have, but the collapse has still been disappointing.

We can learn from it though.

All you have to do is ask pool in the 18/19 season.

Dream year for Forest. They stick by their manager when everyone called for him to go, survive relegation and watch Leicester and Derby flop about.

Disappointing end to the season, but thats what happens when you lack squad depth. Hopefully the club has already started working on the targets to improve the team. End of the day we have gone from 8th to 5th to 2nd so the improvement was there and needs to continue.

But top 2 against a City team who could field two teams that would finish top 4, with the youngest squad on average in the league is still a decent season.

I had a feeling for Forest would get it done this morning. Credit to them and Cooper who has done an amazing job with them given where they were sitting when he took over.
Reckon he'll be off in the summer.

Where to do you think? Hammers if they move on from Moyes? Palace?

Yeah palace maybe. Just think he's pretty annoyed with the forest recruitment model from things I've heard on podcasts.

Really don't think that's the case.

We've used 23 players this season, least of any club in the league.

That includes the likes of Cole Palmer, Sergio Gomez, Phillips etc.

We've got a good backup keeper and attacking players. Take out the defenders against Madrid and we're left with Laporte, Rico Lewis and Sergio Gomez.

Rodri for us is irreplaceable, and we've seen that when we play the second string the drop-off is quite significant.

Biggest myth is City's depth. They have 4-5 elite players on the bench most weeks, but that doesn't mean they have an elite second XI. Their depth is actually incredibly thin.

Most teams are lucky to have one.

Great run with injuries ….Ederson, Rodri, De Bruyne, Haaland, Gundogan, Mahrez, Foden, Grealish have missed just a total of 7 games between them this season. Must be something in the oil

We've got 3 players that have started 30 games or more in the league.

Ederson has missed 1
Rodri has missed 1 (and came on 1 time as a sub)
De Bruyne has missed 5 (3 sub)
Haaland has missed 2 (1 sub)
Gundogan has missed 5 (4 sub)
Mahrez has missed 8 (8 sub)
Foden has missed 6 (10 sub)
Grealish has missed 7 (5 sub)

Not all through injury, but we do like to rotate, and we do like to give players a break through the year. Haaland and KDB in particular have been subbed off numerous times during the year.

We also tend to (once we have a good lead) coast a bit through games. That's happened quite a lot this year where you've noticed the tempo being dialled down a lot, and we start passing, passing, passing around seeing the game out.

I'd say all that has a bit more to do with it than "something in the oil".

You can always tell the pundits that don't do their homework. Quite a few still talk about our massive squad.
