Which would most prefer as their team.

Sanchez
Disasi ~ Thiago ~ Colwill
Gusto ~ Gallagher ~ Caicedo ~ Chilwell
Fernendez ~ Sterling
Jackson

Verbruggen
Veltman ~ van Hecke ~ Dunk ~ Estupinan
Gross ~ Gilmour
March ~ Joao Pedro ~ Mitoma
Ferguson

I'd honestly prefer the latter and the former gave the latter hundred's of millions while spending a billion on the squad. The latter is surely running at a net spend profit. Just buy their scouts.

Let's laugh at Chelsea though. It's fun

The only bad part of that is Chelsea haven't be relegated

Still time though

I know Newcastle have had tough fixtures but their start to the season has been terrible. With Europe thrown in, it could end up being a struggle for them in the league this season.

No one can look at the Chelsea squad and see a top 4 side there. Even top 6 is a stretch. It doesn't help that we signed Sanchez to be our number 1 GK and hope that Petrovic comes good.

We've taken a huge gamble at completely turning over the squad and replacing them with signings mostly based on potential rather than output. If the squad gels and the potential is reached, then it will look like genius, but there's every chance the Billion Dollar Babies project will backfire immensely landing us in some serious strife a few seasons down the track.

Well that didn’t take long. Szoboszlai with the excellent technique from outside the box, gets it on target

Pointing out at half time that Salah was possibly offside in the first goal, blocking the keeper’s vision, and they have a valid point I think.

interestingly Haaland came out earlier agreeing that Akanji was offside yesterday as well.

It looked like Salah was in line with the keeper when Slobbyguy hit the shot. If so, that's offside.

Separately, was it going wide and a Villa defender deflected it in?

The goalkeeper could see the strike, but the ball goes across Salah’s body and out of goalkeepers vision, no where near Salah though that doesn’t mean anything does it.

I thought it was still going straight in, deflected slightly.

And that’s that, 3 points, good to see we’re in the season early
Chelsea away, Newcastle away, and Villa home,10 pts from 12 a great return,

Salah with a goal or assist in 10 straight games, not Vardy territory but still impressive.
Enjoy him whilst he’s still with us. EUR 200M is astonishing really.

As a side note, how long do you think before the Saudi Pro League becomes a global televised league?
