Fair enough, but not sure that's the best game to judge him against. He is much more hit than miss IMO.

He has scored in every home game this season across all comps. And from the beginning of this year, he has been pretty damn good. Is brilliant in our system and does so much for everyone around him.

To be fair, two of those games are against relegation candidates. He was also ineffectual v Villa and Spurs. Personal opinion of course, happy to be proven wrong and he has improved since his Chelsea days, but I still think he's only a decent player who Arsenal can't afford to carry in big games if they want to win the title.

I would say he is in the very good tier. He won't work at certain teams, and would at others. I am not sure there are many others who would be as good in his role at Arsenal as him right now. He's come leaps and bounds since his Chelsea days, and even the first part of last season. To finish with 13 goals and 7 assists is impressive given the circumstances and how out of form he was.
