Hey guys I'm excited to be on big footy especially now the mighty blue baggers are flying once again and we seem to have become the biggest club in the league again in terms of support at the moment. One club thats always rivaled us though is Essendon. This game on Friday night is massive, make no mistake Sheedy and co will be pumping up their mob to make a real contest out of this (especially being on their 150th) so its crucial we get the 4 points.

Just thought I'd start by sending some photos of the Carlton-Essendon rivarly just in case we needed any more motivation to wanna win. Theres been some amazing highs and some bitter lows against this mob but win lose or draw this rivarly never fails to deliver.

I was always amazed how Dank's correspondence with ASADA seemed to get them out of that one despite it pretty clear to me that AOD wasn't legal. I guess ASADA decided to just go with the case they thought was strongest.

It’s fascinating how many AFL supporters, from different clubs even, think * did nothing wrong. I had to read some shit the other day from a few on BF, non-* supporters. Apparently James Hird is a scapegoat despite working at an AFL club today.

The denial is incredible. And also fantastic!

I see really strong parables with Carlton's salary cap cheating.

IMO we blamed the AFL for far too long. "The AFL were out to get us", "Ron Evans was the devil", "they set us back 15-20 years" and so on...

Yes, the penalties were harsh. Yes, they were trying to set an example of us and draw a line under years of salary cap rorting across the league. But you know what? We cheated! We got punished. Deal with it.

The penalties set us back a few years. The following 15 years was all Carlton's fault. Poor administration, poor coaching choices, terrible recruiting, abominable player development. The list goes on.

IMO Carlton supporters' tone has changed in recent years. We now (mostly) realise our incompetence was more our fault than the AFL's. We finally realised we needed to change, to join the 21st century; the club, the supporters, everyone.

The first step of solving a problem is admitting you have one. * seem unwilling to admit to their mistakes and are in full denial that anything is rotten at the club. And unless they do, this thread is going to reach 7,000, 8,000, 9,000 days and beyond.
