King is dreaming if he thinks they have a good list. A part form Stringer they lack a player with x factor and he is injured more often than not.
Last years draft crop haven't come on as you would hope.
Ridley hasn't been able to step up to be a number 1 or 2 KPD
McGrath is a good back pocket that disposes of the ball too quickly passing the pressure to someone else
Reid is finally on the park but hasn't shown much (early days)
They have no idea what Cox is but general it is not AFL level
Perkins for all the glimpses he shows gets the ball less than Dave Cuningham at the same age. I don't see him being an AA level player.
They have about 4 young key talls that have shown nothing and aren't developing because of their terrible VFL program.
Draper is showing no sign of development and is a poor user of the ball.
Caldwell and Hobbs just add to their undersized midfield.

It is going to get worse before it gets better for them.

Kingy has been fapping about their “list build” for years, so he’s doubling down blaming the coaches for not realising the potential he is convinced is there.

You can just see them going the Hird or Clarko route come end of the year. Like us they have an outgoing president, a "review" has been called... they're going to mimic what we did but pretend they're not.

Clarko would be a good call as he’d order a clean out of their incestuous jobs for the boys mentality.

Though that might be too much for them

That Yoda bloke will be a tad upset that his mob didn't get up for this one...
and be all full of reasons why ...Carlton is still crap.

Unlike my son, I was able to choose my own team. My dad arrived in Melbourne from New Zealand during Richmond’s great era of dominance of the late 1970s, finding new friends in the MCG’s Punt Road End.

huh? might wanna work on that research, tom.........I imagine he means late 1960s..........

Oh boy, what if they lose to the Eagles next week at Optus ?

Emergency Board meeting called for Monday ? Lol

Carn the Weagles

As fun as it would be, we want them to win games like next week. Anything to keep them plodding along in mediocrity. The last thing we want is a genuine external review or the sacking of a useless list manager or coach - that might actually mean they start the road to recovery.

**** 'em and keep em in no man's land for as long as possible.

A superficial article that says nothing of value but tells you the writer barracks for Essendon but has no idea of their Dick Reynold's or John Coleman era's and out of touch in Shawshank Redemption analogy he tries to use. His club would be one of the villain characters based off their recent decades contribution to our sport.

I agree.

If he was going to use a Shawshank Redemption analogy, * is more like Brooks after he is released from prison.

In a Shawshank Redemption analogy they are some side note villain, that in for life and not much hope to ever to be released or self aware of why they are in jail for life with no real hope of parole.

The competition said the same about Carlton's youngsters 12 months ago. It will turn quickly for the bombers, especially if Dadoro goes. His emphasis on trade week has stuffed them
