Not really. We had a full external review prior which identified issues. We did want Clarko but we didn't initiate a coaching change on the (forlorn) chance of getting him but because an independent review told us we needed to change things up.

Alastair Clarkson chose North Melbourne over the all powerfull drug cheats. I would imagine that the primary reason is their off field dysfunction. How does their board and staff spin this to be anything other than the huge vote of no confidence that it is?

goes back further than that.. the club has been a basket case ever since the decided to boot Sheeds for no other reason than "it was time". Not that im complaining

Lol seriously that internal review was all smoke and mirrors to make it look like they were doing something.
As for us, did we really need an external review to tell us to change our entire football department? Stevie Wonder could tell us everything was ****ed. We hung onto Teague for half a season even though we knew we were getting rid of him.

Clarko is big on stability... they're about as stable as a stack of cards caught in a hurricane. That and he also played for Norf so maybe he still has a soft spot for them too.
