Considering Essendon are obviously going down the youth track, I doubt we would take Williams. Kennedy, Thorp and McGlynn are more likely. Considering all of these are probably worth 3rd round draft picks, I can't see us giving up pick#16. May be pick 26 and 42, but that is a big may be.

I would have thought that pick 9 and 26 would be enough for Burgoyne, unless of course you want 16 to package up with something to get Jolly.

I used to play cards with Thorpe at the Riversdale Hotel last year.

Washed up hack that doesnt have the ability to play to required level. Clearly doesnt have the heart or motivation to want to make it. But to be fair on the bloke, the bodys not going to hold up even if he did. He would definately consider a move just to get another contract to make it look as if hes actually a genuine talent still. I wish the injuries didnt ruin everything for him.

Williams is another who is worth Essendons time of day but the injuries place a cloud over him.
