The Brisbane Lions will field a team of former greats and other special guests as part of this Friday night's NAB Cup festivities.
The nine-a-side Legends/Celebrity exhibition matches will take place in-between the senior NAB Cup matches with the Lions taking on a team of Essendon Legends in the first match at approximately 8pm.

I put this on the "media alert" thread as well...

For those who may not be aware, SEN are doing all NAB games live......the broadcast for our game starts at 7pm friday night..

Last weekends games were completely uninteresting, but there are some good games to watch this weekend..

Can't wait to see our boys out and about again, particularly in the flood appeal jumper

I'll be going but only because of the family day on Saturday (travelling from country and staying overnight) so my sons can see some of the players. Couldn't give a toss about the results.

Yes it's eleven, but we got special dispensation.

Mal will switch teams at half time and Troy will unfortunately find a way to knock himself out within the first five minutes, so they let us pick two substitutes.

To answer the poll question, yes. Im going to the game(s) with the other half who is mad Essendon... so no getting out of watching that last game. I might hit the bar though.

I also have it on very good authority that they approached Aka. Shame he didn't do it - he's my Collingwood-supporting wife's favourite player. (She was always a hoot at Pies/Lions matches)

Anyone know what's wrong with Redden?

Looking at that list, you'd say the only players to really miss out on selection are rookies.
