I'd prefer Atkinson or T.Slattery to Dyson but it looks like they're trying to put some experience into the backline with Welsh put back there and Fletcher and H.Slattery out.
Although I might be reading too much into that.

Howlett, Neagle, Dempsey and Monfries are all playing.

I expect Lonergan to be the other omission.

If Dyson plays ill be ****ing disappointing with the selection committee, AGAIN!

Why doesn't Slattery get another opportunity?

Dyson trained today. 23 were out there, my expected 22 + Fletcher. they were:

Neagle, Dyson, Gumbleton, Watson, Stanton, Monfries, Jetta, Winderlich, Prismall, McVeigh, Zaharakis, Welsh, Lonergan, Dempsey, Melksham, Hurley, Hooker, Davey, Ryder, Howlett, Lovett-Murray and Bellchambers

It's not the best team they could have done but I like that they're changing up the midfield to find a winning formula. It should be good enough to beat Melbourne.

Yet they leave one of our more promising midfielders playing for Bendigo..on the positive the more losses=the more chance Knights gets the arse!

I will say this if Dempsey plays, please, please, please play him on the wing!

I think we will look quick again with this line up, and Neagle to straighten us up. Looks good.

If spud Quinn plays another game, the selection comittee must be on some hard stuff. He showed last week that the gap between VFL level and AFL level is getting bigger by the day!

So your saying Reimers and Colyer didnt train with the main team?

Knights mentioned Reimers in his video, doubt he will be excluded.

Well that is a start at least, mind you where they are named and where they play have been different all the time. I seriously doubt Stanton will play forward!

Like the changes for the most part. Good to see Dempsey and Jetta on the wings, but we'll have to see if they line up there. I would have thought Welsh would get a go on Moloney, Trengove or Scully. Hopefully Colyer gets a run.

I'm completely disillusioned with our selection committee, they can't see the bleeding obvious (we play a quick team and we play well, we play a slow team and we don't) and they continually make selections that are not based on form. I like Dyson, but he should not have been picked. Disappointed to see T Slattery dropped, i would have liked to see him playing as a third tall. How Lonergan keeps getting a game is beyond me, I used to be a fan but he has not improved at all, probably gone backwards. Houli still not getting a game is also very disappointing, same with Myers.

We had no run out of defense last week so what do we do, put another slug back there. With McVeigh, Hocking and Welsh all picked back there we must have the slowest back six in the AFL, not good for a team with a game plan that relies on fast ball movement. If Dempsey and Jetta play on the wings as selected, they will have to play behind the ball or we will get no run from defence at all.

Oh wait, that was a glitch...

Would have thought Myers deserved a spot in the team, I certainly see the upside to him. As long as he was in the midfield, and not down back.

Houli can stay out. IMO, he's of no use to us.

I cant wait to see hurley line up on watts, watch for big hurls to push jacquie around all day. It will highlight another mistake melbourne made on draft day.
