It's second nature being at the bottom of packs for him and he is obviously courageous but some players need protecting from themselves. He's going to be a gun midfielder and will be a massive boost for us but he is still a first year player, still growing.

I like the idea of him around the ball but IMO we are wasting Gulden if he ever spends more than say 40-50% of a match in the mids. It just doesn't make sense to take one of your best ball users and most creative players and put him in situations where he will be scrapping for the ball and his disposals rushed and pressured. Gulden should be the bloke on the outside at the end of the chain.

I’m sorry to be a negative Nancy but at what point does all this become too much for the players? I picture a day when they just don’t show up mentally and get well beaten and it will have nothing to do with their ability as a team.

Hope I’m wrong. Whatever happens there should be an asterisk next to the Swans name indicating exception performance under difficult circumstances. They’ve been incredible.
I think what has happened this weekend has sharpened us up. I was more concerned if the game went ahead last night as planned. This has made sure they regroup & bond over another disruption. We have shown that we actually thrive on it.
Swans by 43 points.

Exactly where to play Gulden is a big question. Where do you best use him, I don't think anyone knows just yet

Let me add that if we play true to form, we make lazy player look foolish as we work so hard.
Speaking about you Stringer.
No doubt he has 3 or 4 selfish goals in him but for a lot of the game he shows no respect to his opponents.
We will hold him accountable today.
Let's hope so, because if we don't he's going to hurt us.

He's 18 and as skinny as as - but sure - whack him the mids to get smashed.

I know... not on the inside!

Great for a rotation or two here and there to throw something different at the opposition, but there are certain types who are made for winning clean ball in the contest, and those who are made for using the ball away from the contest. Gulden is the latter.

How about we just try to win this one. And the rest will take care of itself.

Ahhhh Ticky... I understand your reluctance. You mere mortals are told not to get ahead of yourselves.

But when you have seen the future, smaller outcomes like today's performance ultimately don't matter.

Enjoy the ride :)
