Good luck everyone. Love the fact that others stew that our clubs have made this game what it is.

Do you have any insiders regards Zakka and Carlilse? If they both play I think you guys win. If they both miss will be quite close.

Disappointed we left Witts out, must still need another run.
Zaka apparently completed full training

Carsile was in a bit of a modified group.

Guess who knows in the end

God I hate the sub rule. It doesn't always go to the 22nd player in the side as some players are more suited to it than others, but if you feel someone can make an impact in 30 minutes you want them on the park for 120. Would love to see Dempsey or Hams (might not be either of those two) work themselves into the match.

Shaun McKernan not even named as an emergency, so maybe there is a good chance Carlisle plays?

No way Hurley will play forward - I reckon they'll line up a bit more like;-

Fletch Hooker Baguley

Hibberd Hurley Gleeson

Stanton Watson Z.Merrett

Chapman Carlisle Colyer

Ambrose Daniher Goddard

TBell Heppell Melksham

Bench from: Dempsey Howlett Zakka Hams
Hams will be likely sub. He plays very similar style to Howlett. Immediate impact when he comes on.

That piece of play from Hams a few years back versus Carlton, it was bloody awesome.

Hird on Hams a few months back

Essendon coach James Hird expects to see young midfielder Will Hams pushing for plenty of AFL football in season 2015 after recommitting to the club for the upcoming season.

Hams recently signed a new one-year deal with the club after suffering a number of injury setbacks throughout the 2014 season.

The 20-year-old was recruited in the 2012 rookie draft and went on to play two games during the 2013 season showcasing his tenacity and fearless attitude for the contest.

Over all of his injury concerns following surgery Hams is expected to play a significant role in the club’s 2015 campaign.

“Will is an excellent young man and disappointingly injuries prevented him from playing any football at all this year,” Hird said.

“It was disappointing for the club because we were very excited after his first year.

“We picked him up as a rookie just before the start of the 2013 season and we have loved the way he has gone about his football but we actually just love the way he goes about everything he does.

“We are very excited that he has re-signed and he should play a lot of football for us next year and plenty of AFL football I think.

“Looking to the future he will be a terrific player for us.”

Not only does Hams have a ferocious attack on the football but has the poise and precision to use the ball on the outside of the pack.

I like Hams as the sub, if the game is close towards the end it will be good to have that tough bugger running around with fresh legs diving head first in to packs

I know they won't line up that way but that would be a fantastic forward line for the bombers. Unfortunately we don't have two Hurleys.

It's going to be wet but surface will be great. The form of our back line will be important. Dempsey back will do more than bring his run. It'll make Hibberd more effective as one two punch. That run and drive will be the difference, hopefully. It's a pity that it won't be dry as they would struggle to cover both our talls. I'd almost replace Carlisle with Giles so he and Bellchambers can work over their rucks and KPDs with size.

Does anyone else think there's a reasonable chance J. Merrett's going to come in for Zakka as sub? I have a feeling that's the case. Not disasterous, but would prefer the Zakka to play.

Not a bad option tbh.
