Yep...

(and the reason why I don't throw s**t at experienced drivers finishing low down without asking why).

That would scuttle most races....

I saw a post race comment somewhere from Chandhok about RICs pit delay and his response was - that it was during the safety car period and it doesn't explain why he couldn't match his team mate when on track.

This was despite admitting earlier he wasn't aware RIC was delayed for so long and why - and so completely dismissing the fact the delay may have had something to do with RICs car not being up to pace.

Look, I understand Sky F1 is focussed on the British subscribers and so he and Croft are focussed on the top end of the field during the race and Brit drivers elsewhere rather than non Brit tail-enders. But without Brundle on hand for balance, Chandhok seems to follow a line of Sky commentators who have the drivers they are biased against and couldn't give a stuff about being balanced and informed about.

It just seems just so unprofessional. And I fret for when Brundle finally gives the commenting game up.

Sky F1 coverage is just rubbish these days imo. I use the F1 Live app when I’m watching it usually. Unfortunately it’s somehow logged me out on my Foxtel unit at the moment and won’t let me log back in so I’ve been forced to listen to Sky. 🤦‍♀️

I actually think Sky has gotten better.

The additions of Naomi Schiff and Bernie Collins have been great, and Ted is doing fewer races too. (I do like Ted though personally)

Crofty is sitting out a few more this year with the F1 for kids commentator guy taking his spot for a few races.
Seems like there is a succession plan going on there.

Nico and Jenson are fantastic with their recent and relevant insights into current F1.

The issue with Karun however is that while his analysis technically is really good, he seems to have agendas and bias against some drivers, particularly DR which does slip through and it just doesn't need to.

Is the Australian F1 GP coverage showing up on anyone’s Foxtel tv guide? According to mine they’re not broadcasting it at all today which seems weird. Is it only on channel 10 this year?
Not sure why they'd be broadcasting a week before the race ?

That's a Lando-esque jump start right there!

within 2 corners of the start Chandok says " Piastri is still infront of Lando"

now in isolation, its a statement of fact and move on.

IMO however, given the bias and tone, its like he was pissed that OP handn't pulled over to let Lando thru.

I get we all like our own flagged drivers - im guilty too - but when you are in a Broadcasting role, at least try and hide it a bit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Karun and Oscar get along pretty well, they had some twitter banter about Aus v Ind in the cricket I'm pretty sure.

He definitely doesn't like Ricciardo much though. Maybe he is still upset DR stole that coveted Hispania F1 drive in 2011.

that doen't tell us whether newey is one of the 3 highest paid. neither of us know that. and, as i said, it may not be the only consideration.
Newey would be the best paid wouldnt he?
Runs on the board after all. And plenty of poachers in the paddock.
