God that sucks. What's the cash app part is that a new thing VISA offers. Because I would have thought everyone knows VISA. No need to add anymore words to an official team name that necessary. The RB part I keep saying VISA Red Bull. But I think we are going to bee hearing people actually say the letters RB.

money hungry
Cash App is its own product with nothing to do with Visa. They’re two seperate companies sponsoring the team.

Cash App is kinda like Paypal.

Makes it weird both would be on the sponsor as they would technically be competitors no ?

Would be like seeing "Coca Cola Pepsi McLaren F1 Team".

To be fair though I don't expect anyone in the paddock or Media to be referring to them as Visa Cash App Racing Bulls. Will just be known as Racing Bulls (just as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber will just be known down the grid as Sauber)

That's a good way to confuse people. Two seperate sponsors in the team name is greed personified and I think just shows such a lack of care for existing and future fans of the team. They might make more money but it cheapens the brand alot.

I guess they have to to stay alive, the big teams don’t have to sell out.

Visa and Cash App co-sponsoring would be more like CommBank Tyro than CommBank Westpac. If anything, I think it is poor marketing by Cash App because not previously knowing what Cash App is, I read it as 'Visa Cash App', as in a new service by Visa, not separate companies.

Cash app probably won’t be around long enough to worry about it being poor marketing.

McLaren extended landos contract. Second driver to sign a new contract in two days.

Or in AFL terms, “ the team is flying” at this time of the year…

I'm looking forward to seeing some images of players cars in the gym wind tunnel getting swole

It's hard to picture anything other than a comfortable title for Max, though I suspect he and Red Bull won't walk it quite so easily this time. He will still win it, and fairly easily, but I think Ferrari and Mercedes will take a few wins.

Formula 1 (F1) looks set to continue its expansion into North America after four new trademarks were filed for a potential race in Chicago.

The trademarks, ‘Grand Prix of Chicago’, ‘Formula 1 Grand Prix of Chicago’, ‘Chicago Grand Prix’ and ‘Formula 1 Chicago Grand Prix’ have all been registered but no further details have emerged about F1’s future plans with a potential race in the city.

Could be getting another American race

As someone that is a fan of the Austin and Vegas Grand Prix, we don't need another US Race unless its replacing Miami.

Andretti built a F1 car running in wind tunnel interesting. Poaching staff from Mercedes and redbull as well.

well, you either didn’t read the articles and or grasp the contents. the article on mclaren, for example, was more about what they did to improve the car during the 2023 season than what to expect in 2024.
I read it.
And I’m sure every team could come out with something akin to these that show they are advancing.
it’s what is needed for fans and sponsors.
Just like every AFL team during the off season.
Reality is for F1 that what was working on track in 2023 doesn’t necessarily translate To 2024.
I think that we have been seduced by the way RB came out of the gate in 2023. If McLaren think what they’ve achieved in 2023 will carry into 2024 then I can only compare them to West Coast.
Who, by the way, are flying!

there you go again writing a general post re the mclaren piece. pretty much writing it off as a bit of p.r fluff. the piece went into detail about the significant engineering and body changes they made to the car that turned it into a competitive vehicle. in a matter of months. whatever they are paying stella, it’s not enough.

geez, imagine the wealth of someone paying that amount of tax. kudos to him for being one of the few multis who pay tax.
