It does appear that way which is not on imo. U either show proper loyalty to PA as an employee or you leave. It is consistent with what I was told about 5 years ago by a relative of his but I didn't take note of the connection (cousin I think). I certainly believed what he told me though, it was too specific to be invented and it wasn't good in terms of Shaun's feelings towards PA. But feelings can mellow over time.I don’t know exactly what he said as I was at the game and haven’t re-watched the post game hawthorn sook that was televised but apparently he joined in with the one eyed hawthorn brigade of hodge and Lewis in criticising Ken’s action without even knowing what he said.
Meanwhile his kids were playing poos and wees dress ups with wizard hats during the week.
I guess his kids can support whoever they like but whilst he is employed with our club I would’ve thought he would be on our side. But to me it doesn’t appear to be the case and his relationship with port is awkward.
My gut feel is his hearts with hawthorn.

Gotta luv Butters too. Tagged for most of year but battled on to win a well deserved B&F. A great trainer too. We are so lucky to have him.The two Jases are about the only thing I still like about this club.
Shaun had so much talent but I didn't want him as captain as I didn't think he deserved it. He just didn't work hard enuf. In hindsight I was probably wrong given his career at the Hawks he probably would have stepped up. But imo u have to earn captaincy of PA by continually setting the right example & he didnt at the time.End of the day, we are the club that overlooked him for captaincy when it was public who the coach wanted. He was physically/mentally shot here and ended up being well looked after by Hawthorn who saw to it his legacy rivals some of the very best indigenous footballers to have played at the elite level. His kids saw his heroics in the Yellow and Brown, you can understand why they may jump at the opportunity to get involved with some media for their Hawthorn.
He is employed at Port now and building the relationship with the club again, time heals all wounds and hopefully one of his kids will one day don the Port Strip with their cousins and we can all get along again.
If Craig Bradley was asked to pick Port or Carlton, where do you think his alliance would fall? And would ‘we’ be ok with that?
Yep, only hav to look at how much better Bergman played wen he moved from the wing into defence. In PA the wing seems like a graveyard.I thought Bergman or Georgiades may have nabbed this one but Jase really put in the effort and got the rewards.
It's pretty hard on the wing but he took his spot and played well making it to many contests. And when he played the easier role of back seagull in the Hawks final, he excelled.
We are all hoping for a great off season to see what heights he can reach next year.
