How is Mackie not on this list? Beautiful kick. The attack of half back is integral to our game.

1. Mackie
2. Stokes (his effort in the 2007 grand final was terrific.)
3. Chapman (guaranteed to deliver.

It has to be Gazza.

I think we get a bit too complacent with him and expect him to do what he does.

But it's his change in attitude and gamestyle since the start of 2007 that has everything to do with our success.

Really enjoyed bartel, selwood's impact, some of varcoes games, rookes complete disregard for his own body. But if you had to pick one to save your life, you would never look past Gaz.

And I see ronnie burns got a vote. Good effort that

The bloke I was going to vote for isn't even good enough to a mention on the poll? Are you serious???

Screw it I vote for Darren Milburn anyway!

Is it just me or is Matthew Scarlett, the greatest defender in the history of the Geelong footy club not noiminated in the poll?

I'm not sure what's worse... Lancelots spelling, or the fact nobody's mentioned his omission until now.

You beat me to it Big Nasty. Scarlo's omission from the list is a travesty.

There may be other more likeable blokes in our side, but purely on consistent brilliance it has to be No. 30 for me.

It's not far to have Rooke on that list. He is not human, he's a wild savage freak of nature who has become Geelongs cult hero. But having said that, He was on the list hence why I picked him!

Ablett Jr and Scarlo are two of the best players we've ever had IMO and it was hard to not pick either one of them either!

Jimmy and Selwood do NOT have two L's.

Varcao? The ****? and Burns, come on... Do you ever look at the ****ing names in the team?

Can't believe some of the players been left out too. Epic fail. I mean COME ON!!!!, where the **** is Henry Playfair!?

You really do need to spell the names correctly, I say Go Rookie:thumbsu::)

Excepting Gary Ablett Snr - spot Strangler. In the midst of some very fine footballers GFC has at present - these two are standouts. And that's saying something (just above Chapman, Bartel, SJ, Enright, Corey and Selwood) !

Put those 6 in any side and you have a good chance of success. Gun mid-fielders and two gun backs and forwards. No wonder we win so many games. The next level down group of players are still pretty good on their day as well (Ottens, Mooney, Milburn, Kelly, Taylor and Mackie) !

On paper we are a terrific team - on the park sometimes even better !

J H Christ what the hell is it with spelling Jimmy's name wrong.

It's BARTEL. B - A - R - T - E - L

Damn useless idiot.

I picked Moondog.

Oh, and It's Selwood. Not Sellwood. He isn't no fking commercial lumberjack you peanut.

Hmmm, my favourite player....I couldn't pick between Scarlett or Dasher.

Then I study the poll choices and see I REALLY couldn't pick between Scarlett or Dasher.

Now I'm left wondering which of the two Blakes to vote for.

Re: Just wondering who is your fav. Cats player from the past 3 years?

Ablett by a hair.

Where is Dasher? :thumbsu:I love the guy- He's been plugging holes down back for years Makes forward bullies honest and protects big wussies like Ottens and Corey who don't stand up for themselves . And, despite the brain fades, he always gives his all

Surprised how few votes Enright got too.

I've picked my favourite, purely based on whom I would miss most if they were not in the hoops. So when Rooke decides to leave the game, I know in my heart, it just won't be the same ever again. I'll still go to games, still get caught up in the madness, but, well, you know....no Max. Can you imagine that? No 33 running blindly into packs? No match-saving feats of madness? No after-winning smile to warm the heart. He's the last of the great individuals, the Orson Welles of footy. I even ask female friends why they bother going out with the guys they do, while Max walks around this world of ours. They just shrug the way girls do when they have to settle for second best.
