Carlton has known about these alleged incidents, so has the afl and her employer and her way BEFORE TODAY.
the deal was sown up this morning and irrespective , why the delay ? why wasnt he suspended ? why didnt the afl step in ? why didnt her employer do more to have him charged and or suspended ?
Exactly. Carlton initially fined Fev over his behaviour. They then said they were going to talk further about it. They were obviously told the rumours but had no evidence. They opted to get rid of him, how much more can you do to an employee?IT is clear that Carlton DID investigate it!
Fevola had spoken to Dimetriou twice in the first week.
The AFL has admitted it was aware and supplied counselling as did the HUN.
Kernahan announced they would be meeting Fevola on Monday (a week after Brownlow ... "to lock doors and thrash it out"!
Judd is involved in later CFC discussions!
AFL are trying to grow develop the game and don't want a scandal.
Carlton announce up for trade. BUT will make NO COMMENT till after trade week. Fevola (via manager) says same!
Journalist doesn't want to press charges because she thinks it may prejudice future work. But would be best if Fevola was NOT in VICTORIA
Alistair Lynch is Fevolas manager...of course... Brisbane were made aware!
Fevola and wife immediately book secluded palace in QLD.
POLICE investigate Crowns Liquor Licence and view tapes. NO WAY that toilets do not have cameras in a casino!!!
Go on troll on....!!!!

And you know this as fact? The AFL told Carlton to get him out of Victoria.
Now guys like Neil Mitchell have a hold of this story, there is going to be a media groundswell to investigate regardless now I suspect.Journalist doesn't want to press charges because she thinks it may prejudice future work. But would be best if Fevola was NOT in VICTORIA......

I am bewildered by claims we should have suspended him out of season? The incident happened 18 days ago, we announced he was being traded 8-9 days ago.
Also how could we have had him charged? Based on what evidence? It is up to the victim to make a complaint.
Geez people are deliberately perverse when it comes to team biases.
That's an easy one, because no complaint has been made. In terms of what Fevola has or has not done there is nothing to act on. You can't force someone (the journalist in this case) to make a complaint, so at this stage it is nothing but rumor and innuendo.
If these rumors become fact, then the AFL can do something, until then it's hearsay.
If Carlton, the AFL, the HS and numerous websites such as this one knew about the rumours, why didn't Brisbane and how is it Carlton's fault if they didn't?
Surely the issue is why the Herald Sun didn't report it when it happened. They have admitted they knew. They are a newspaper. This is news. It's their job to print the news. If they had everyone including Brisbane would have known, and Brisbane would not have taken him. If the victim had been anyone else and the Herald Sun found out about it they would not have hesitated to publish.
In fairness they do have a responsibility here as an employer.Surely the issue is why the Herald Sun didn't report it when it happened. They have admitted they knew.

Carlton president Stephen Kernahan today admitted the club was aware of the explosive claims but decided not to look into the details.
So if it's one of their own they respect the victim's privacy, but if it's anyone else they would be all over the front page.In fairness they do have a responsibility here as an employer.
That takes precendence over any perceived responsibilities as a news organisation.
Fevola, whose deal to move from the Carlton Blues to the Brisbane Lions was finalised this morning, fronted the media alongside new coach Michael Voss at Wet 'n' Wild on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
the guy has a good point - and it is disgraceful that he did that
I cant believe people were on this site saying it was a storm in a teacup etc
how can you defend fev?

Hit the nail on the head here. The media blow absolutley anything up, surely there are more pressing world issues at the moment? The timing is also very dodgy, just as his trade has been cleared, why not before this week when he was still at Carlton? O well it is the HUN I guess, not suprising.... Also to say she won't press any charges, why bring it up! ***** sakes, just let the guy go, he's copped his fair punishment since the Brownlow, just move on!If the PC-nitwits can cause a storm in a teacup about hey hey its saturday... I guess I shouldn't be surprised they will turn Fevola into the next Ted Bundy.
Ah I see you are headline watcher. More fool you.Wrong, wrong, wrong wrong.
Your President has admitted he heard the rumour of this act and did not investigate:
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/873735/carlton-knew-of-fevola-sex-misconduct-claims
So before you accuse the usual suspects, how about you stop being the usual deniar?
The legacy of Elliot lives on. Pay of females who alledge sexual assualt and then when your current president hears of an alledged case, he does nothing to investigate.
"I think everyone knows of an alleged happening at the Brownlow," he said.
"I've heard all the stories and the rumours … that's all I'm aware of and I suppose it's an AFL call from here and we're officially not involved in that.
