I reckon Pratt was pretty ordinary last week so it's no surprise that he was dropped, but Picioane was pretty ordinary too and there's less likely to be a specific match-up for him, so it's got me stuffed.

Pratt could have played on any of Mahoney, Pickett, Pettigrew or Dew IMHO. I shudder to think who Lance has been earmarked for...

Im sure Laidley wouldnt have asked him to run in circles and get sheap kicks.

He missed his targets with his kicks as usual but i actually know what urchy is referring to! Picioane came of the bench in like the third quarter and for about 5 mins just ran around in circles around the areas where the ball was, looking toally uncordinated. It was quite funny and i was sitting front row on level one and it happend right in front of me! :D Urchy isnt talking ********, this actually happend!

Not denying it, but he also set up a goal and kicked one himself. That's the kind of perspective that I'm talking about.

He recieved an uncontested mark and goal from 30 out.

I know your just trying to defend him because he is on a list and believe it or not he is playing, but after last weekend he doesnt deserve a game.

Lets just hope this weekend he is able to do the role he has been asked to do, and he completes it well.

Of course it's dead easy to create space for yourself and get an uncontested mark when the opposition team is going with the uber-flood in your forward line for 4 quarters...

18 mate.

Now a question to you........

Do you actually watch the games?
No I dont watch games, I find it better bagging my own players

Picioane aint here to get 30+ possies a game, he is here to release the pressure of the Harveys Wells Grants and Harris' and also to put less pressure on the likes of Smith Trotter and co.

IMO he hasnt had a "crap" year, I think he hasnt done anything bad but also nothing special. He isnt part of our future and I think everyone acknowledges that but he is part of us now.

Oh BTW, Picioane > You :)

For all those Picioane bashers we have a 10-4 record (includes narrow losses to Adelaide and West Coast) with him in the side, and a 3-5 record without him. Now that might just be coincidence or maybe we are a better side when he plays...!?!

Picioane-powered Roos: 71.4%
Adelaide and West Coast: 77.3%
Sydney: 68.2%

Picioane-less Roos: 37.5%
Essendon: 36.4%

Statistics prove Lance makes us a top-four team, without him we are as bad as the Dons!

Lance is the man, if he can't do it, noone can! :D

Dropping Picioane for Sinclair doesn't make sense, as Jess plays defence where as Lance plays midfield. Pratt for Sinclair is fair enough. Jess will give us more rebound from the back.

Agree with this. Jess is a defender so a defender needed to be omitted. He's a little unlucky but Pratt was the only option. Lance, well I'm not a huge rap for him but he doesn't even enter the equation when deciding who goes for Jess.

Bloody hell, you must be kidding north, why pratt? he was really good last week, give the boy a go for goodness sake... what the hell is wrong with them???

The reason why Pratt makes way for Sinclair is because of the position they play. I sat behind the interchange bench last week and to see the number of changes JYD makes is pretty mind boggling.
Pratt spent lots of time comming on and off the bench but he was changing with other defenders such as Arch and Spud.
Piccioni and Stevens change off the bench to give the onballers a rest such as Harris Simmo and even Boomer at times.

I'm not saying i agree with it but I think i can see what JYD may be thinking.
I thought Stevens did his job last week in his role of changing with Harris and Co. in that he did manage to get some drive into the forwards when he came on. Piccioni on the other hand I though let us down a number of times when he came on and I just noticed that we missed the player who he relaced a lot more.

Pratt wasn't all that flash either but i feel he does offer us more comming off the bench and can do his job in defence. His problem is though that Sinclair offers more then Pratt.
If it was me i think i would just pick my best 22 but I just get the feeling that JYD has a totally different thought process to most of us and picks his team accordingly.

That's a Carey-esque stat! I really ought to delete the post incase one-trick Deni$ stumbles across it and throws dollars at Lance to come to Carlton, where he'll be played one-out in the Paddock plan, and spearhead Carlton's 2006-07-08-09-10-11-12 Premiership assault.

Finally someone else has it worked out. The reason why Pratt is out is because Sinclair is in and Pratt can't provide the cut out to the midfielders as Lance or Mick can

Its so friggen obvious I don't even know why its discussed. I guess it just proves that a % of the population are ******** heads.

Not the "he aint there to get 30 possessions a game" again, he isnt getting 30 possesions because he isnt good enough to get 30 of them. The better midfielders are the ones that win games with the 30 plus touches and a few goals (Grant, Harvey) the lesser of the midfielders save games by tagging these better midfielders (Rawlings, Stevens, Picioane).

Now NM already have a few taggers in Rawlings, Steven and Firrito (if needed) so really we dont need another one.

As for your reasoning saying he is there to give midfielders a rest. How many midfielders do we need? We have got an abundance of them that can enter the midfield at any time (Grant, Harvey, Simpson, Harris, Rawlings, Wells, Archer, Jones, Stevens and FIrrito. Now with almost half the team being able to enter the midfield surely we dont need one more.

On the other hand Pratt could be handy to tame Powers Powerhouse forward, as we all know Colby struggles to keep up with the ball these days and both Watt and Leghroy arent having the best 2nd half to the season.

Im off mate, cant be bothered listneing to the same rubbish all the time and then having to prove you all wrong time and time again.

(Mind the arrogance, but it is hardly as strong as your ignorance in this subject)
