Just came back from this game.
Eagles were cooked from the first quarter. This Rioli saga has distracted them.

I agree.Just came back from this game.

Well said - both are vomit inducing and totally insufferableI dunno who I hate more. 2010 or 2018.
Entitled cats or feral eagles.
Hopefully the pussies have one more big game in them.
They don’t have to beat Bicthmond, just make them hurt.
I'll be stunned if they can beat Richmond.
They were on the whole classy customers last year in victory. Why make arses of ourselves?Everyone head to the eagles board. Make em hurt.
50k at the game last night, disgraceful considering it’s finals time and everyone is scrambling for tickets.Amazing how empty the stadium is.
I think Geelong will give Richmond a headache next Friday.Yeah in the same boat. Geelong ain't beating Richmond. You'd probably prefer WCE win this so that Richmond and WCE can belt the piss out of each other next Friday night, similar to us and Hawthorn in 2011.
I think the cats have a chance next week against Richmond. I hope I’m correct.I disagree.

Would it have been better to play at the GMHBA then?50k at the game last night, disgraceful considering it’s finals time and everyone is scrambling for tickets.
Another thing, need some Richmond players to get injured next week preferably Riewoldt and Martin, if not more.I hope so. If we make the GF, Geelong are obviously the ideal opponent. We should've beaten them by ten goals last week but started playing defensive, much thanks to the two less rotations.
Probably. They played em there earlier this year.Would it have been better to play at the GMHBA then?
Giving them a real chance, don't be surprised if Cats knock em off.

I tend to agree with you CFC however I have no confidence the MRP/AFL will see it the same way.Hitting someone behind the play has nothing to do with the medical report.
The fact that a player gets up and plays on is pure luck. The action is still the same. There could be a millimeter difference where the hit lands that makes all the difference. Tribunal/review board should only act on the action in the first instance. The resultant injury should be secondary, but should add to the penalty.I tend to agree with you CFC however I have no confidence the MRP/AFL will see it the same way.
Hawkins breaks Schofield jaw he’s up for a Gaff-like penalty but if there’s no concussion who knows.
I think the AFL really needs to review the criteria used to determine sanctions.
We have Stratton getting 2 weeks for pinching/stomping.
Greene gets a paltry fine for hair pulling and head manipulation.
There’s a high risk of neck injury to the player who’s having his head pulled and pushed especially when he’s already bracing under a pack. Should have got a week just for that. Joke.
(I know from personal experience pulling my hair out in front the telly that you have to tighten the neck muscles to stop the head falling off.)
Grimes’ running raised elbow to the head of Elliott earlier in the season results in just a fine.
Surely intentional acts such as using raised elbows, knees, fists or hair pulling deserve suspension.
What’s the disincentive of a fine to someone earning $500K a year?
I worry that parents seeing incidents such as those above will just push kids into soccer where most of the injuries are pretend and there’s a chance of moving into an acting career.
I don’t want the game to become soft and accidental trauma will always occur but I think the AFL needs to draw a line and say that some intentional acts, regardless of injury outcome will not be tolerated.
