I know it was basically De Goey against the Suns (cox shown good signs as well) but I honestly can’t see us losing with De Goey in the team. If he can continue to kick 3-4 even 5 goals a game + the rest of our forwards step up, I think we can be hard to beat. You need a player like De Goey in close finals, the defenders shake when around him.

I’m not scared about facing West Coast if that’s where we end up. They have their injuries (Yeo a massive one) and we’ll be closer to full strength compared to last time. If there’s any team that can cause an upset in the West, it’s us.

Expect we will beat Port Monday. They will be happy to lose to us because they probably prefer to get Richmond to Adelaide in first week of finals rather than Geelong. If that happens they avoid Richmond in a prelim.

Looking at the top 8 (assuming the Dogs win today) and it's not that scary by any means. We smashed the Dogs and Saints. Should've beaten Richmond but drew. Should've beaten Brisbane, and probably would've with DeGoey. Haven't played Port. Beat Geelong.

We're in very different form lines to those wins though, suggesting we'd smash the dogs or saints now just coz we did earlier is a little simplistic in thinking.

If we win against port or even be highly competitive then yeah we're in the conversation and we've had a massive form shift, play like we did against the dogs or saints then we've definitely had a seismic form shift.

Dees - thanks AFL for not only handing us the most compressed fixture, but also making us fly backwards and forwards across multiple states

End of day if we win enough games we don’t play them. We have one more chance for a win. if we are not making up numbers we should expect to beat port at the Gabba
