Did everyone who registered for the GF ballot yesterday get a confirmation email from Ticketek afterwards?

The last confirmation page on the website said you will get an email from Ticketek sometime later that day confirming the registration but I never received it.

Just wanted to check with others whether they did or not (in case I need to call them and follow up if others did receive it).

I got mine as soon as I confirmed payment, you should be able to log onto ticketek and see your history to confirm.

Don't think too many would jump on that considering it's our first GF in 9 years if we make it this year and as we know they are damm hard to get to, anything could happen next year so blowing $290 on a what if doesn't make sense.

It's only going to get worse in the years to come. Once the new stadium is built, a lot of Wings members will become Season Members, then if we're in this position the number of member grand final tickets will stay the same. All the additional members, the ballot will be a lot tougher.

Hey guys, I've been inundated with expressions of interest from BF Eagles fans for any extra tix that may be remaining after our large lodgement of barcodes. Sorry for not directly replying to all your PMs. I'm stoked cos I've just been guarenteed a tkt through an affiliate in melbourne so it means an extra few opportunities for extra tickets through the ballot.

I'm unsure how i'll issue spare tix to those interested but I'm either going to run a mini ballot or auction them off with the proceeds going to The Ride to Conquer Cancer. I'll keep everybody posted with the progress of our ticket situation ONCE west coast win their prelim and we get confirmed numbers.

Thanks again. Fingers crossed Eagles do their bit & we get issued a large percentage of the 36 barcodes we lodged. There would be a possible 20 tix unaccounted if they all come through.


ps apparently each player that makes the GF gets given 4 tix each but for $400 a pop!

Teams like Hawthorn, Collingwood, Richmond etc with huge membership bases have this problem 10 fold if you think about a Perth based team a lot of members wont come over because of the cost of flight, tickets, accommodation etc which can blow out to thousands of dollars so the numbers will never be the same as Victorian clubs.

No Victorian membership is also a ballot entry which is what I did yesterday, Victorian Platinum membership does but if suddenly there were 10000 new members it certainly wouldn't as they just don't have that many tickets!

After the GF public holiday is over, the Victorian GOvernment will start work on a big fence along the western border to protect the seats at the G.

We Victorian members already have our visas confirmed for future years.

I thought about it this year and will do it next year .I'll use it to attend some away home/away matches too ....
I'm hoping we don't have too people who do the same thing though , because then the priority one access might disappear!

If I lived in Melbourne I'd be a Vic Platinum member - no brainer! Much cheaper per game than my regular (perth season) membership....and the perks (guaranteed seat , cricket access , finals/grand final priority ) make the extra cost compared to the other Vic membership type , worth it

As a side issue, if it is WCE v Haw in the GF & the AFL already deciding there is a clash of jumpers, do we have to wear our white jumpers, Haw have to be the Power Rangers or is there a sufficient difference to our away jumper?

(yes - not assuming both teams will make the GF!)
