We must have played the most Adelaide games out of any non-Adelaide team at this point. It's ridiculous, doesn't help that we've never learnt how to play there.

On first glance - the fixture has its positives and negatives.

It doesn't look like we will be impacted by awful scheduling and will have sufficient breaks between games.

However, we haven't been looked after with those double-ups. The only positive is that they look like "eight-point games" against teams that should be contending for finals.

End of the day, if we are good enough and want to be a contender, we have to beat the best.

Embrace the challenge. Bring on 2025.

As someone who lives near Ballarat and has kids soccer Sunday mornings, it's good. The Thursday night sucks but it's one game (hopefully not more after Round 15). Bye Queens Birthday weekend not ideal. Another MCG game wouldn't have gone astray. Our record in Perth at Optus is good so bring that on. A solid six.

Haven't doubled up against the Magpies since 2011, yet for a third straight season we'll play Richmond twice.
Since 2014 we've visited Adelaide oval 19 times (if you include 2025) to play the two local teams, yet have hosted them 8 times.

The AFL fixtures are full of little imbalances and oddities like these which should be ironed out over time, but aren't.

If we have to play our finals there, then we may as well push to have as many games there as we can
