Good luck visiting Alice Springs...
I like Alice, have a mate there so I've been there a couple of times in the last few years. I guess you're referring to crime? He said it's pretty isolated, I never saw any issues when there.

"and we are yet to see what they do with the proposed venue in the Barossa - which was not used last year because it was deemed not up to scratch. Good luck to those teams' supporters driving up to the Barossa for an hour, only to find a huge traffic bottleneck in that the little village town in the Barossa hosting the game. I cant wait to hear how many of them miss the start of the game."
just LOL
Your Carlton theory is way off the mark. We request an MCG home game v a big Melbourne Club every year. Last two years it was Ess/Coll, this year its Carlton. We actually want 3-4 MCG home games but until we have more drawing power there they'll only fixture us there v big clubs. You weren't wrong!
Doubles against the Cats, Dogs, Dees, Dockers, Tigers & Giants.
The GWS double makes me laugh because we are the 'Home' team in Gather round then have to play them away in Sydney at the end of the year.
How ****ing hard is it to have the Gather Round games as one of, NEUTRAL, matches?!?
I also love that we have a home game against the Blues AT THE MCG!?!
Carlton 100% requested that change because of how well we match them at Marvel. Shit that the club accepts it because it'll be a bigger crowd.
**** off.
Hope Bassett lines them up again TBH. Might as well go full Trump psycho at this point at call out ALL of the bullshit...
How is playing GWS away a hard draw....they have what 3,000 polite fans wondering where they are ffs. If we are any good we shouldn't be worried about that road trip. You weren't wrong!

We were never going to get drawn at Adelaide oval as we aren't going to draw the big crowds based on our 2024 form.
So we basically got what the SANFL consider as their best ground for spectators.
If you actually went to Norwood oval for gather round last year, you would have seen its just outside the CBD. The Parade at Norwood has a great atmosphere - and they are putting on a food and wine festival on the same day as our game next year. I loved the intimate nature of the oval which actually is conducive to a creating a great atmosphere if the game is good.
Norwood oval way easier to get to than the unused open-air oval at Mt Barker with its temporary stands - and we are yet to see what they do with the proposed venue in the Barossa - which was not used last year because it was deemed not up to scratch. Good luck to those teams' supporters driving up to the Barossa for an hour, only to find a huge traffic bottleneck in that the little village town in the Barossa hosting the game. I cant wait to hear how many of them miss the start of the game.
Im delighted and relieved we aren't drawn at either of those 2 other venues.
i enjoyed being at Norwood oval last year and cant wait for tickets to go on sale for gather round again.
Great result.

That will happen because of gather roundIt's that we play them twice but don't get a home game.
The Gather Round games should be the only time those teams play each other, apart from the SA teams having a possible away game later in the year.
That the SA teams effectively get an extra home game because of the round was already discussed last year but if it's also taking home games away from other clubs then then it's even worse management!
At least it gives you someone to barrack against ... will enjoy watching Blues players get injured and seeing their sooking supporters cryCarlton, Pies and Essendon better be shit next year, only way I'm tuning into their designated priority Thurs/Fri timeslot. Blues ****ing 7 Thurs/Fri games between R1 and R10. Can't escape the campaigners. Earned they say.
It is a good thingGiving Norf a harder draw than multiple finals teams is a ****ing joke.
Alice is actually quite nice if been their for work multiple times. No bouncer required but lock your car and house as you would at Moorabbin.Take a bouncer with you.
Whaddyawegunnado? The AFL have relegated us to utterly irrelevant again.
Whaddyagunnado…
9 days is a long break at the beginning of the season.Looks tough to me. Round 7 Lions at Marvel off a 6 day break against a 9 day break. 3 trips to Adelaide in the first five weeks. Yeah, looks like another reaming.
Last year it was against the Pies.considering we finished in the middle 6 bracket, our double ups could have been worse.
You're right, our 1 MCG home game being against the blues is disgusting.
Because sholitloads of Blues fans go to home games in Victoria?Nah, this is Adelaide Oval games:
138: Port Adelaide
133: Adelaide
22: Richmond
21: Geelong
19: Melbourne, Hawthorn
18: GWS, St Kilda, West Coast
16: Western Bulldogs
15: Essendon, Fremantle
14: Brisbane, Sydney
13: Collingwood
11: Gold Coast, North Melbourne
9: Carlton
No idea why Carlton are so low tbh.
