What is the point of naming a squad of 26, I can not see the sense in it, there was nothing wrong with the system of naming teams as it was, name the team and emergencies in case of a late injury... smells of overthinking it and making work to justify your own existence IMO.

Mise well just name your team an hour before bouncedown and be done with it.
You would have to think they will name a starting 18 and an interchange bench of 8, otherwise like you say they may as well just name the team an hour before.

We really have no idea how footballers live their lives.Quite a few years ago a mate heavily involved in footy and sponsorship had a chat to a famous full forward.Well I have got my hundred already this season. What do you mean says my mate you only have 65 goals.
I wasn't talking about goals says famous full forward

 Now working in the media?

There's a rumour that Sampson Ryan is returning to QLD end of 2024

9 gamer, Ruck/ forward.

Anyone heard anything?
End of 24 is a long time away really.
Anything could happen in that time

That sounds like the famous Buddy story

Obviously no-one at AFL House plays supercoach. I had Davey on the field and Humphrey on the bench. That change cost me over 100 points.
Expect more of the same.
I stopped fantasy footy this year.
After all the makeshift changes in the covid years i lost interest but played on.
May also have been the fact that i was just getting worse rather than better at the game.
I remember halfway through my 2nd year when i discovered some sites that gave good insight into how to play the game.
My third-year rank was 1100+ down from 40K. Thinking i should now be able to crack that top 500.
However, my rank slowly got worse not better. Then i lost interest during that covid period.

That's it then... on Luke Hodge's say so, Ryan Lester out Darcy Gardiner in.

Hasn’t Darcy Gardiner only played two VFL games this year though?

Bit of a risk by the club if you personally ask me, if indeed true

I was being a tad facetious.

North would be negligent if they did not ask. Whether they get anything is another question.

If they are unsucsessful this year, it may help when they ask next season.
They asked for one last year.
You can keep asking i suppose.

Was discussed on the couch last nite by John Ralph to.
Just my personal observation.

When discussions start in the various footy media about X, it's basically the footy media softening up the footy public for X happening.

In this case, I'd almost guarantee North will get something significantly better than last years offering. Whether that be a single high end pick, or maybe some extra soft cap assistance as well as an end of first round pick. Don't know, but I'd bet something will be forth coming.

Not sure whether this belongs here but I was wondering how POTY rundown is decided when two or more players are tied on the same number of votes in a given week.

For example, Andrews and Lester are currently tied for second (96 votes each) in the Lions v Bombers Review thread

It could change of course but if they remain tied, who gets 4 and who gets 3?

Zo?
