I am stunned that you didn't mention the Marcus Ashcroft Medal? To be brutally honest, I think the same thing about the Brownlow. I'm generally much more interested in the Norm Smith Medallist.

Which begs the question... If we played the Suns in a Grand Final, would both medals be awarded?I am stunned that you didn't mention the Marcus Ashcroft Medal?
Or the Suns Flecther - it seems they are salivating over what he will become, which i think the selectors mostly do - accept for Lewis winning it over Bont, so yes, I dont expect Will to win it despite being more influential in my bias opinion. Sheezel is very good, but less is being asked of himI think the Melbourne centric will give it to cheesel anyway.

Bailey Humphrey is very good, would love to have him here at the Lions.Or the Suns Flecther - it seems they are salivating over what he will become, which i think the selectors mostly do - accept for Lewis winning it over Bont, so yes, I dont expect Will to win it despite being more influential in my bias opinion. id probably prefer it if sheezel wins so the insufferable north fans arent crowing about how he was robbed for the entire off season
Said a few months back that footy needs a "Bazball" equivalent to break out of its current tactical and philosophical funk. Wish Fages had picked McCullum's brain while he was playing at the Gabba.
That was when most teams generally played an attacking brand, so it wasn't so out-of-the-box. If someone attempted it now...We had it 30 years ago when Malcolm Blight coached Geelong

Fast scoring in Test Cricket, England have a new coach who has implemented a new daring game style, seems to be working, they are winning a lot.All I've heard about in recent days is bazball...
...what on earth is Bazball?
"Bazball" is a name given to the approach adopted by sides coached by former Kiwi International and noted T20 Player Brendon McCullum ie. he is Baz.All I've heard about in recent days is bazball...

In order to accommodate this, the pitches in England have been dialled down from their traditional green seamers to barren roads to negate any sideways movement and allow the Bazballers to come out and swing hard from ball one. Last evening, Joe Root, the former England Captain and one of the last true traditional Test Match technique players attempted a ramp shot on the first ball of the days play, which defied his normal style and any form of conventional approach to batting. He missed and narrowly avoided being bowled. But a few balls later he played it again and again with the result being a 4 and a 6, in between was a glorious on drive that was straight out of the coaching manual.
This approach makes the current series intriguing from many angles.
On the usual pitches you'd get in England for an Ashes series they'd struggle to make 100 trying to do the things Root was doing.Hope it backfires in this series!

On the way this pitch has been uncharacteristically prepared it's line ball but seeing they're not batting last setting a target if you can usually works.
The Saints used to have the sprinklers going all night at MoorabinI would say they are only doing what India do, but this is a footy forum.
Funny thing is I reckon Wardlaw is better anywayid probably prefer it if sheezel wins so the insufferable north fans arent crowing about how he was robbed for the entire off season
Eric Hipwood contracted to the end of 2029, Josh Dunkley 2028.These long deals can backfire.
.................
Crows young gun Josh Rachele has signed a monster contract extension with the club until the end of 2029.
Already contracted at West Lakes until 2024, Rachele, 20, added another four years to his deal in one of the longest contracts in the AFL.
Only Sydney’s Nick Blakey (signed until 2031), Carlton’s Harry McKay and Melbourne’s Clayton Oliver (both signed until 2030) have longer deals.
