It both amuses and disgusts me how this is an open secret but the AFL is too gutless to do anything about it. Half the clubs in Melbourne will be doing similar things.

It is a rort that no one in the footy media what's to look into.

There was an article on IIRC foxsports yesterday saying that Clayton Oliver was willing to take a pay cut to get the the Cats, how the hell they get Oliver and Bailey Smith in with the draft hand they have ie. currently picks 17,38, 57 and a few picks over 70. You would think they would have to shed a decent player or two to get both done + give up next years 1st rounder.

YER! Not to mention how they fit them in their salary cap.

The AFL’s best Indigenous players will take the field together for the first time in ten years with the Indigenous All-Stars set to face Fremantle in an exhibition game on February 15 next year.
The pre-season match will be held at Optus Stadium in Perth with the AFL to release further details on Tuesday.
