Continued in Part 2

Remember that side was selected by fans. Take it with a grain of salt. Bez should be a lock, no questions asked. Also thought Jy Simpkin was a tad unlucky also. Both have had substantially better seasons than Taranto. Rat probably borderline for me.

Apparently Brisbane playing at Metricon has home ground advantage because of noise affirmation.... Wait for the trolls to start using this "opinion".

Geez my heart bleeds for poor old Collingwood. What an almighty effort to get through the season! They deserve a pat on the back. Must be tough being Collingwood

What a load of Crap
Richmond played 5 of their first 6 at the G.

There’s a similar thread on Richmond’s board.

Pisses me off cause they haven’t done one for every other year where the likes of Melbourne, Geelong, pies get exactly the crowd advantage they are whining about for us this year.

And last year, when they had this advantage, we still finished second by beating more teams so they cans stick their whining and sooking up their-where sun don’t shine.

FM they can’t even see how stupidly one eyed they are.

A very good example about how statistics can be misleading if you don't dig a bit deeper...

It's worth reading Max's rationale for ranking our Metricon games as being "at home" as it's looking at it in statistical terms. Doesn't mean it's necessarily accurate but it's based on more than the games simply being in the same state.

You can hide a lot of sins under "ground familiarity". I wonder if he's accounted for quality of the opposition since I assume it would have to incorporate multiple years to assess "familiarity".

Teams underperform at Kardinia. The Cats have been very good there for quite a long time now.

We overperform at Carrara. The Suns have been very bad there for quite a long time now.

I guess because he tells them to clean their room, do dishes etc like a dad....and because he isn't their real dad, he becomes a step dad.

...something like that anyway.

Why is Harris Andrews nickname Step Dad?

I remember Sam Michael used to be DADS, or dadsy.

Probably for a different reason though.

Not sure if this is known around here already, but Mero of footyjumpers.com fame said that our white clash strip was supposed to be yellow before they were told by the AFL to change it to white.

The impression I got was that it was a similar design to the present white clash but with a yellow background and presumably a different coloured lion.

Most players look pretty good, but could have done a little better with Zorko and Selwood. At first glance thought it might have been Lachie.
