Atkins has been playing a better game... but on balance he's a liability. Seems to hold onto the ball too much then either get caught or make the wrong decision too often. The type of player he will turn the ball over in a crucial point of the game. Never confident when he has the ball. Same with Gibbs.


Mackay not as bad but just a waste given our young talent.

Take your blinkers off, mate. His first half was great - was involved in a lot of our important plays, and used his body pretty well too.
Dropped mark in the third was absolutely dreadful, but he hasn't done much else wrong.

No arguments about Gibbs, though.

He’s down a few flashy things that tricks people into thinking he’s been good.

He’s shirked contests, his direct opponent has run ragged at stoppages, and when he has had time and space he’s chosen poor options when we had others free, or just turned it over full stop.

I don’t know why we’re wasting our time playing him as an inside mid. We have about a million better options. Should hopefully play plenty of SANFL this year if Nicks wants to get serious.
