Value is right for Fisher, but why do you think it is great to give up our 1st rounder to get there? It's not a first rounder for 2 second rounders when Fish is included in the deal.

It doesn't gel with our stated aim, unless we are going to bundle them up with next year's 1st to get somewhere.

Best case scenario atm

We'll go to the draft with #21 & #25, with whatever we get for Dow to be used for EHollands
So who is in our sights at #21 & #25?
Hopefully, we can pluck a real bargain there - take some risks with these picks Austin!

If it gives us E Hollands I'll take it.

Can look at this positive or negative I guess.

We traded a contracted player who is in our best say 30 players for a pick valued in the 30s. (Roughly).

In what is rumoured to be a soft draft those picks will be closer to 30 than 20. Will we get a player or players to impact around 30 in this draft? Would we even get that at 17-21 or so?

A few moving parts. But for me a net positive if we can bring in a player who can be best 15-25 say.
 
Fisher and #17 for #21 and #25

That trade can be looked at a couple of ways.

On the one hand, we just saw Melbourne give up two picks in the 2nd round to update pick #14 to #11. If you look at it similarly with this pick, Fisher is effectively steak knives to the cost to move up the draft.

But if you consider picks #12-30 are relatively a crap shoot and the payer we get at #21 is likely to be just as good as #17, then you could argue Fisher was almost traded for #25 alone, which would be a great trade for us.

Really depends on how we rate the draft.

More about the shuffle and there was talk that we would trade out our 1st for 2 2nds

You can throw a blanket over the talent from 15-30
 
21, 25 and our F1 are worth Pick 2 points wise (assuming F1 is #16 the same as this year). Come on Eagles ... what do we need to get that pick off you? :D

I think you may be right because it does seem a pretty average move if it's not.

A contracted player who I thought was worth an early second rounder. Particularly when we are chasing Holland's who's shown less and GC want an early second.
