I saw him get toweled up by Ben Crocker in a VFL match a few years back at Windy Hill...and I'm talking a shellacking!!!

If it hadn't have been for the howling gale making goalkicking a nightmare, Crocker would have kick 6 on him in one quarter of football, and over 10 for the game.

If we're playing a forward line of Hollands, Martin, Jack, Charlie, Harry, Motlop, and Cuningham we're in trouble. Knowing us, we'll try and drop TDK in there too...

With Hollands level of mobility, I think he's trying his luck to knock Kennedy out of the calculations.

I also think if we're smart, we're sending Kemp into the midfield unit, Walsh further outside, and having Kemp rest forward when Jack goes into the ruck.

Really like the thought of midfield time for Kemp. Keep flashing back to a game where he took possession and from a standing start burst away from the opposition and put 10m on them before they realised what was happening. He then completely shanked the kick but that takeoff speed stuck in my mind. Can’t remember who it was against though…

100% agree.

Watched a fair bit of the drug cheats this year (a few mates are tragics).

He's barely AFL standard .

I'm hoping that at the very least, both of the Irish lads can be on our Cat B list, even if we have to promote big Dom to Cat A.

I also read somewhere that the AFL are potentially looking at pre listing father/sons prior to the draft, so they no longer compromise draft picks - ie pick 18 becoming pick 24.
 
Fairly quiet ish trade period, but acquired a player that if he puts his head down will be starting 22

Not sure we have enough capital to trade with the Cats, but we may still move up the order depending what clubs need

Otherwise, happy to take 2 picks on draft night and elevate a rookie

A very lacklustre trade period in terms of overall quality of the names.

However, stoked we got our man in Hollands, were able to facilitate trades for Dow and Fisher, while bringing in some points for the Campo twins next year.

Bring on the draft!

Schulz aside (and he seemed to blindside everyone) who else, that was available, adds to our current list?.

Like the idea of he and Marto combining on the HF line....

E Hollands will be a gun.
 
Essendon's FA and trade period is true fools gold. And they have wasted so much valuable cap space with flakey and or injury riddled commodities like McKay, Duursma and Gresham.

And Goldstein is almost cooked.

Zerk-Thacther was no world beater but was improving as a player and doesn't miss at least 5-7 games per year like Ben Mac.

Since about 1998 (ish) - 2015, we constantly went then the topping up from other clubs and neglected the national draft.

Essendon's going to keep riding that treadmill and extend their finals wins drought for a good more years yet :)

Agreed - he has the attributes we need
We know Frodo Hollands can run and he can go forward and kick a goal

If we can get a few boys to get around a camp fire, convince Frodo to run all day like his brother, the Fellowship might get themselves a premiership ring

Maybe Ed “Gollum” Curnow can organise another campfire
 
A month now to see if we can trade one of those picks in the 20s and our future 1st round pick for a top 10 pick, a future third round pick and maybe something later that still has a points value.
