I think perhaps with Logue there is no update because he had to wait to return to Perth to get scans. He would've done that Monday if it was ready and they won't know for another day or two.

I honestly don't think Hamling will play again, the last update we had, the ever optimistic Weber eluded to it having no mobility.

He injured it on February 10th and there's still little to no mobility in it?

I think we can safely rule Logue out for a significant amount of time as we translate the Weberish. It's absolutely mad to think he played his last game out brilliantly and a day later he's out for an indefinite amount of time. Only a cruel god could conceive that.

Would you prefer the timelines had something like:

Hogan: Calf - (> 1 week)
Young: Ankle - Assessing (> 2 weeks)
Darcy: Concussion - Test
Sturt: Ankle - 2 weeks
Logue: Toe - Assessing (> 3 weeks)
Hamling: Ankle - (> 8 weeks)
Pearce: Ankle - (> 8 weeks)

We have another 10 to 12 weeks of the season remaining so a month on from now we will get quite a bit of clarity as players are ruled out of the season.

There was a moment at the 18 min mark in Q4 where Logue pumped the ball out. It started the possession chain for Tuckers goal.
As he kicked the ball an Adelaide player smothers his kick and he pulls up. Not sure Logue was involved in the play after that? Might be where the toe got hurt!

That seems like an extreme prediction, unless you mean this season.

I think the fact that Melbourne have been able to get Bennell up and going at AFL level and Weber couldn't over years of trying is a red flag.
I mean we had plenty of opportunity to bring him back over the years. Yet we ****ed around and put him in the WAFL for months at a time and he was playing good footy there until he injured himself again. Melbourne have the luck of no state leagues to feed players through, so they can just immediately bring him up to AFL. Honestly we could have just had Bennell skip WAFL and just play limited AFL minutes.

Logue sounds like it's a Sandilands toe injury. Turf toe. :'(
Sandy lost a season because of a sore big toe.

Have you got that from anywhere else yet Salim?

I copped the big toe thing playing rugby in my youth, swelled up like a balloon for a couple of weeks, once it was back to normal size it was a bit stiff but fine to play.

Apparently there are different grades to the injury, it's a legitimate injury that can result in months of recovery if it's in the grade 3 region.
I,m guessing so I,m probably a mile off the mark.
Bloody hell I hope I,m wrong.

To be fair to S&C all of Sturt, Young and Logue are clearly not management issues (at least not yet).

If I was the club I'd roll out Henry this week or something, just to divert our attention to half our team being injured.

Young no.

Logue, who tf knows. Was it definitely picked up in the Adelaide game, or is it something that existed and was missed, or ignored?

Sturt hurt an ankle round 3, came back to the field heavily limping. Out the next week. Played round 5, then out again. Definitely looks like an injury management issue on paper, even if the latest one is the other ankle.

I believe that risky off-season surgery has helped him out. He'd never have been approved for that whilst on an AFL list due to potential liability if it lamed him for life.

When he did it they confirmed he “cranked” the first joint and it was still too swollen to scan (and probably grade the level of sprain) best case would be another 2 weeks I think
