Tackling should be the main focus going into this game, as other people have said. If we don't tackle and don't have enough defensive pressure Fremantle will overwhelm us.

As one of the commentators said on the weekend, we need to get our kick to handball ratio right. If we over handball in the middle Fremantle will stop us with their tackling and hurt us on the rebound. We have midfielders with great kicking skills, we need to use this to our advantage.

Another thing I noticed watching the reply of game, we need to take our chances. Even in the first half we missed shots at goal and were wasteful going inside 50. Good teams take their chances early, making it a lot harder for the other team to come back late in the match.

This will be a big test for the Tigers coming off a loss. I hope we show improvement and get back to winning games of football.

You can't see everything at the game always and having had the opportunity to see the replay geez Petterd is hard done by.
It's like he has become the whopping boy automatically.
I tell you one thing his chasing and tackling pressure leaves a lot of his teammates in the cold.

I just heard on the radio that Chaplin is a potential out due to Concussion?

Out:
Morris (sus)
Chaplin (conc)
King (hamstring)

In:
Dea - negating medium defender
Batchelor - medium/tall defender (Griffiths is under an injury cloud after being a no show in the VFL)
Nahas - small forward for king

I reckon tuck and Petterd will consider thenselves lucky this week that we could have 3 forced changes

At least 2 forced changes maybe 3

Out Morris - susp
Chaplin - concussion (TBA)
King - hammy (TBA)

If Chappy goes, who comes in?
Astbury, Griffo
I reckon Griffiths though I expect Chaplin to play.
I also think Helbig will play this week in for either Morris or maybe Ellis.
I reckon Ellis need to go back for a full game, its a weird thing to play a bloke sub 3 times running.

Thinking about it I believe this isn't the game to bring in a first gamer. Vlaustin can wait.

I'd like to see Griffiths play. His 60 metre kicks from defence would be handy at Patersons. If King doesn't come up Nahas plays.

Not sure who gets in out of Dea and Batchelor - depends on matchups with the annoying hobbit. Dea is probably better suited.

Out: Chaplin (inj) King (inj) Morris (susp) Pettard
In : Griffiths, Dea, Nahas, Edwards

If King is fit then Nahas in for Ellis as sub.

Does Freo have any talls in it's forward line with Pav out?

I assume Kepler plays the forward/ruck role? Then there's Mayne, and that's about it?

I'd think we'd go with Chaplin or Rance on Bradley and Grimes on Mayne?

Some are saying that Chaplin wont play cause of concussion, was he that bad when he went off....Just thought it was a mild concussion can anyone shed more light on this....

Surely we'd have to include one of Griffiths or Astbury for Chaplin.

Great to hear no comment on Kingy on the latest AFL or Real Footy news, so hopefully he's pulled up well after the knock he received over the weekend.

Big write up on Edwards in the Age website with Dimma hinting another lead & marking option could be included in our forward line to stretch the Dockers defence. He even commented that Edwards game style suits the larger grounds such as Paterson Stadium.

IMO, I still reckon we need at least one quality crummer scouting the packs. One of King, Nahas or Shane Edwards.

Hold on tight boys....there could be multiple changes this week (if you include out of form players)?

Why?

Who are all the dangerous Freo talls? Without Pav it's just Bradley. Probably a game we could get away with Just Rance and Grimes.

Game will be won and lost in the midfield and if we can contain Walters and Ballantyne or not.

Got a feeling after this comment that Aaron Edwards will come in....

From RFC Website:
Hardwick said small forward Jake King would be available after receiving a knee to the back against Collingwood.

Midfielder Brad Helbig continued his strong form with 27 possession in the VFL, while Robin Nahas (two goals) and Aaron Edwards (seven) were impressive for Coburg.

Hardwick, who said small forward Jake King would be available, said the Tigers would consider bringing in another marking target in attack on the big Perth ground.

"We'll certainly look at Aaron (Edwards) … he's a lead-up forward, so the [WA] ground suits that type of player," he said.

"The forward line is going OK at the moment. Do we look at bringing in a fourth target? Big ground, Subiaco, maybe a chance."

We did get cocky. We even had a band at training lol. I thought that was a bit wrong especially when I saw how crap the band were before the game lol

Didn't you tip us by 8 goals and say that they wouldn't be able to match our midfield?

Edwards being suited to Pattersons is true but surely we can't play Reiwoldt,Vickery,Mcguane and Edwards?
No way.

That's a pretty potent forward line actually

If Chaplin wasn't concussed on Saturday, would he be omitted bacause Pav is injured?

Rance looked out of sorts last week and would probably struggle against Bradley and Grimes couls play on one of their dangerous smalls now that Morris is sidelined.

Just a thought!

The band wasn't there for the fun of it. They got them in to play for Shaun Grigg as it was his birthday, bit of a harsh comment.

Something Hardwick said gives an indication that Edwards is a fair shot at playing this week:
""We'll certainly look at Aaron (Edwards) … he's a lead-up forward, so the [WA] ground suits that type of player," he said." AFL site^
