Finally get past freezing, I’m left with 20 seconds to purchase my tickets. Time out, get booted out, back in to a 21000 people queue.
similar story to me. Mine froze, came back and said my ten minutes to book tickets had expired, so Ive started again.

Still can't believe how bad that was.

30 mins in a queue I can live with. It was counting down and I had clarity on where I stood. That is an improvement from Ticketek.

However the sites performance and hanging was just ridiculous.

I got in, entered barcodes and see a spinning wheel loading. So I got impatient after 20secs and clicked the spinning wheel button and bang I went in. Then waiting for the options to come for selecting, it was hanging everywhere, then once seats were finally allocated, I tried to change seats and was getting error messages and warnings. Time was already ticking down at that point to 2 mins, so I couldn't mess around, I just took the seats they offered, tried to log in but of course that hung a bit as well. Suddenly down to only a minute to enter CC details. Got that done in 20 seconds and with 40 seconds to go I hit pay. Bang again the screen goes into spinning wheel of death and the clock counts all the way down to zero before going to a bad gateway error.

Just ridiculous.

Then you spend 5 minutes wondering if I should jump back in the queue or whether it has gone through, before an email finally comes through and confirms I got the tickets.

That was just a shit, shit experience.

I have received a single barcode for 2 tickets. Is that what others are getting?

It is usually two tickets with barcode and full information.

A family member got our tix for $30 cat 2 (I believe) which used our barcodes.

I jumped on to suss out for a mate and I could still purchase a free ticket even though my barcode is used? Anyone have this happen? Hope I haven’t stuffed with my ticket?

Na, I got a barcode(ID Code) per ticket.

Looks like they did stuff it up then. Lucky I have 5 months to sort it out given Ticketek's history.

So after logging back in after the first debacle, waited from 10:50am until 12:14pm - at the end of a 34k queue 🤡

Eventually went into the ticketing part of it. Scrambled through in time to get my two seats this time in a different area to before (actually slightly better position), and managed to pay for it in a nick of time 😓

That's 3 hours of my life I'll never get back 😱

Still reckon my first effort was under 7 minutes, even with the hang time with every page of the website 😡

Surely Ticketek can do each day's games on separate days rather than all 9 on the same day. You've got peeps from all over Australia trying to login at once!

Assuming 50k for 6 AO games and 10k for 3 other games. That's 330,000 people seeking a seat in a small window of time.

Masterclass of planning there 🥸

Nine News had a story about the cluster*** of the website.

Ticketek said the system crashed due to an overload of people on the site - but that there were "no issues with the system" 😱😳

O---K!!!

WTF?
Honestly, for a company whose literal job it is to handle that ticketing process, it is unbelievable that it is such a poor system. Their infrastructure should be juiced up to handle at least 50,000 web requests per second. I suspect their system can only handle a few thousand though.
