Review Geelong defeats Hawthorn by 86 points at MCG - the Owen 4 game

Not once mentioned how Rioli was struggling but did somehow manage to find numerous times to talk about how much a star he is even though he barely touched it and had virtually no attacking plays.

Constantly discussed how hawthorn were the better position in the first half despite we being in front and kicking badly.

Not once mentioned any of the dubious frees the Hawks got during the game. We're quick to point out the cats one but not one of the Hawks.

Mcavaney said at half time now the next half will tell us where the Hawks are at. Then said it at three qtr time again. They get spanked by 11 goals in the last qtr and do they bring it up the topic of what that last half tells us about the Hawks? Nope.

It is/was horrendous bruce getting excited at every Hawthorn player touching the ball as if we weren't even playing. Just as an aside I rate the fox broadcast way above C7 now. I prefer to see the replays are on fox than C7. Never watch the pregame regardless anymore. There is never any talk of hawthorns dubious play, including but not limited to their unsociable footy in years past, or how the rules had to changed because they were thwarting the spirit of the game. Due to good management they had three absolute generals in mitchel/lewis/hodge for a decade. Hodge is surely finished at year end ; they beautifully let the other two go a year early. They showed them the door way to ruthlessly for the family club and then for their home game didn't turn up or just jeft at half time. I've seen Cats supporters leave early but usually wait till the last qtr! I reckon up to 10 thousand+ left at half time. Never seen that.

They are now claiming that being on the bottom of the ladder is a good thing because of a deal Clarkson made with a mystical super being to trade away bottom spot on the ladder for roughheads health.
o_O

I've read the posts leading up to this one but it still makes no sense. If that allows them to sleep at night then go for it

I watched 360 and its exactly what a coach would say on national television after a game and before the MRP comes together. Technique error yeah so sometimes when you choose to bump and get wrong footed the shoulder comes up naturally its a bad feeling so yes its technique pretty much what i would say as senior coach as well. And chris scott would of used that defence a few times so he has experience with it.

He says straight after the right technique was to tackle so we cleared the technical side up pretty quick.

We will never agree on this one unfortunately we will have to let it lie and i will never agree that this was a skill error like kicking or missing goals under pressure.

This remains for mine a simple decision making making brain fade he wanted contact and in the moment he lifted the shoulder then regretted it instantly. White line fever happens all the time

Agree to disagree not saying either is wrong or right just stuck with my own opinion on this one

Cheers.
