You sitting front row in Bay M3 The rabbi ?

I have not got a ticket yet. I had a guitar lesson tonight after work and will try and get one Thursday (tomorrow) as I get paid tonight. I am broke and I have been living off my gold coin jar for the last 2 days.

Cost me $450 to get my best couch seats for this one.

The couch seats are actually free but as its a night game ( 250 am for me) and I cant guarantee the ability to self regulate both words and volume, the Disneyland Resort and Hotel were all to happy to take my $$ to evacuate the Minister of War and Finance and the 2 back benchers.

At least the beer is free, the dunny is close and no waiting.

**** ill be tired at work on Friday but.

Just a heads up, if your still after tickets we all the ticketek site sucks, and they seem to only offer cat 5. Rock up old school to an outlet. There still seems to be a fair amount of good tickets left on the 1st level if that is something your after. They are just not offering them.. (not sure how they work exactly)

Exactly what I'm going to do if we get into the Prelim. There's one 2 min drive away from me and I'll be on school holidays.

He tells the truth.

A woman on my tour- teacher from Brooklyn was amazed I was on holidays- paid. They get shit all sick leave nothing and they "work until we die" as she put it. We are very lucky here. Maybe not as lucky as other countries, but we still get a good deal imo.

Finals really isn't bad for you is it. Half the time on holidays. Perfect timing.

I haven't read the previous pages of the thread so apologies if this has already been discussed, but did anyone here have a bit of trouble getting tickets yesterday? My father and I are full AFL members and also Geelong club members, so dad tried to get tickets yesterday under our AFL members tickets. Every other year including previous finals against Hawthorn we have had no trouble in getting decent tickets this way, yet this time Dad had a bit of trouble. We couldn't get seats together on any of the bottom levels, and apparently a lot of seats have been set aside for guest passes this time around or something, which seems a bit strange? Anyway we did get seats and they don't seem too bad, seemed a bit odd that they are putting guest passes ahead of paid up members though.

I'm of the belief that the AFL in both the Reserve and General Public sections still has seats setaisde to be released next week, but that can be bought if you go into a ticketek authorised seller.

I compared Category 4 and Category 7 tickets this year for members and it literally put me about 10 rows back and would of cost me $40 more per ticket. The allocation this year was dirt, couldn't believe Category 4 was still in the middle of the 4th tier. I paid $50-something a ticket a few years back for the North final and we were sitting in level 2. Looks like having an AFL membership or MCC is a must.

Also side note- Etihad has choose your own seats. Why can't MCG have this too??? As long as the system doesnt let you leave any "gaps" or single seats- like you have to choose ones next to others already taken, you can't "spread out", I dont see the problem.

I agree, really annoying. Ticketmaster V Ticketek, one offers it for their events, the other doesn't offer it at all. Surely it's some sort of copyright on the software, because it seems to be a pretty good idea if you ask me.

If that's the case then hopefully they can do a Volvo and make things easier for us. :)

Had no issues getting two seats together in the AFL reserve on Wednesday morning, however they were my third preference in terms of location (prefer N level first, M undercover second - but ended up with M open air).

Yeah, I wrote earlier that as an AFL member I only got top level after loggin in right on opening time. It's pretty poor for the high paying punter.
But then after I calmed down I realised that it really is a first world problem and more importantly........
When the Menz kicks his 5th goal mid way through the last to ice the game and put us 8 up - I won't give three tenths of a piece of Hawk poop where I am sitting.
