Stay salty friendNow now... We don't know for sure.
They did come down on the Blues that one time to force them to move to Marvel after all.
Would be glorious if Scott's fat self indulging scone was the straw that broke the camels back for the AFL to finally step in.
But unfortunately we all know they'll just politely ask Steve Hocking to stop making it so obvious and it will be business as usual handing out farms, tractors and pubs for the cost of a pack of sultanas.
Don’t forget about the cotton on sponsorships must be niceNow now... We don't know for sure.

Yeah, sounds like having written the rules they now regret writing them because clubs are unhappy and/or clubs are busy exploring the rabbit hole.My guess is that following this announcement multiple clubs have reached out to the AFL to say they have sponsors who are willing to offer the same arrangements - effectively just a bogus role to rort. Has probably spooked the AFL a bit.
Yeah I tend to agree it’s lining up for them to backtrack and close that rule which will results in some angst with the coachesYeah, sounds like having written the rules they now regret writing them because clubs are unhappy and/or clubs are busy exploring the rabbit hole.
Surely the AFL has rules against bogus rorting from clubs to staff/players? The AFL executive is fine though, jobs for the boys 24/7.My guess is that following this announcement multiple clubs have reached out to the AFL to say they have sponsors who are willing to offer the same arrangements - effectively just a bogus role to rort. You assume that Geelong has done everything correct, I recon they have broken rules after years of getting away with anything they do. Big punishment incoming...Yeah, sounds like having written the rules they now regret writing them because clubs are unhappy and/or clubs are busy exploring the rabbit hole.
Lol, no. They got it ticked off as being within the rules and it's being reviewed again after the fact. At absolute worst there's a rule change where they change something for future agreements. You assume that Geelong has done everything correct, I recon they have broken rules after years of getting away with anything they do. Now apparently they were caught off guard

Ignore Walsh, this poster came on to our board to try discuss things normally.Stay salty friend
As predictable as Falcon making another aliasStrange Cat amusing to see the site's bottom feeding trolls emerge...
Don’t rule out an AFL backflip and the position included in the cap / Scott drops it.God the AFL is pathetic.
Timeline of events:
1- Morris offer CScott the position
2- Geelong speak to AFL
3- AFL say no worries
4- Announcement is made
5- Fans and potentially other clubs raise concerns
6- AFL pretend they were unaware of details and announce investigation.
Stay tuned for 7- conduct investigation that goes for long enough that most people forget
And finally 8- announce no sanctions on a Friday night before a major event
