Another hiding to nothing

Win as expected or lose abs maybe it’s meh…

We need 1 win to keep top spot ..either this week or next.
Might as well make it both huh

GCS are out of it.. playing for pride or whatever gets them a new contract next year.

Some of them will care .

Selwood, PFD, Rohan and Blitz all back.
Resting Mitch and Izzy.

Just get the 4 points.. no injuries and move on.
No disrespect to GCS.. but you don’t matter to us now.. we have bigger Plans and it’s dangerous to post that… but it’s true.

Special note to Zuthie making 50 games.
Possibly the longest odds to make 50 but he’s a lock now back there. Full credit to him.

Should be good game .and let’s move on.

Go Catters

There is a worry among supporters that this game could turn into Suns worst loss of the season :) Probably justified.

Season is basically over with no finals disappointment, Rankine probably leaving - hardly motivating factors for players.

Putting now games into Davies, Andrew, Hollands. Still very young Anderson and Rowell played exclusively inside this year for the first time and look tired. So is Witts.

Suns will be missing 8 best 22. At the moment the weakest link is defence, now also missing Ballard (best defender) on top of re-bounders with some speed and good kickers Weller, Powell and Budarick. Collins is terribly out of form and could be carrying something. Last week Gunston kicked 5 goals on him. Graham is still border-line and learning ropes while Andrew is unbelievable talent but is absolute stick, 2 games into his career. Lemmens is known for terrible turnovers. So Cameron and Hawkins will probably have a field day.

Suns gave head start to oppositions in 16 games. It can't happen today to have any chance. Suns also in basically all games except 3-4 did not convert opportunities.

It does look like a wet game and could become a territorial battle.

Take it easy Cats players. I want to see a competitive game. The end of 1st QTR will be telling.

On the flipside, cats will play like no one wants to cop an iniury

Geelong has previously been arrogant + complacent in these types of games, lost when expected to win. So stay hopeful. Also, they won’t want any injuries.

May the best team win 😊

I feel it's actually pretty important to get a run/look in the wet before finals with our new game style.

I can't really remember any wet games of late and whilst the style is flying in the dry... If it is wet in a final match, It would be a real positive and confidence booster to show that it works in the wet and learn a thing or two from today.

This is the sort of thing that worries me a bit about this game.

Can't say I've seen it much this year, at least in the second half of the year. Those kinds of games where we rock up thinking we simply need to run out on to the field to win it then get caught out by an opposition that turned up to rise to challenge of playing us.

Hopefully we continue to show that this is not what we're about this time around.
