Stevens, that no-hoper, got a lazy 35 disposals - kicking efficiency was down maybe due to the conditions. He'll play some AFL somewhere but probably not at Geelong given you-know-who is guaranteed a game however well - or badly - her performs.

Haven't seen it to be honest.
His 1v1 application is very average from what I've seen.
Not sure who you are referring to (Kolo? ZGuthrie? MOC maybe??)... but both(JK ZG) can actually do the defensive part that is a must at AFL level.
For disposal effectiveness... unfortunately we cant have 6 Tommy Stewart down back.

If we win a flag, there could be a raft of retirements - I could easily see Selwood and Smith calling it a day if they nab one, and possibly even a shock retirement like Tuohy or Hawkins. But that's a huge if.

Otherwise, then there are a few obvious goners (Narkle, Dalhaus, Higgins) and after that, it gets speculative. I would say Esava, but he has a year left - so Frank Evans and Nick Stevens, despite very good VFL form, could be on the chopping block. I also can't see Simpson cracking the 22 any time soon.

Don't get me wrong, all three of Stevens, Evans and Simpson would be extremely rough to get cut. But as you point out, upgrades need to be done.
