Loved watching Miers running onto the field following the siren - he went straight for his forwards teammates and jumped into Hawkins waiting arms

He got a pretty low rating on the AFL site but he was great today. I cannot name a Cats player who had a bad day.

Everyone has been talking about Sydney's pressure, but I hope we come out and put insane pressure on them instead, bash and crash them as I think we're bigger and stronger than them in the mids and get that early chaos ball rolling, because if we do that, we'll win.

If I can be self-involved for a moment, I’ve had a week from hell and watched the game in bed with a broken collarbone after a pretty bad car accident earlier in the week. Missed my daughter’s birthday a few days ago and have been having a rough time of it, so I can’t be more grateful to this great club for simply putting a smile on my face for the last few hours.

What a club. I’ve had tears of joy since Joel’s goal at the end there and I couldn’t be more happy or proud. The character and resolve it shows to keep fronting up year after year, especially after how it ended last year. Redemption for all the times we’ve fallen short. Sel gets to be a premiership captain. Danger gets his flag. I can’t even put it into words. I’m so happy for all the boys. I’m so happy for Scotty. Every player on that field has earned this. This is so well deserved and I’m going to love every second of it!

Well said. I have followed the Cats since 1964 and I had tears at Sel's goal and for the rest of the game.
